Cholesterol can form, together with other lipids and proteins, membrane nanodomains, which play important roles in membrane trafficking, the spatiotemporal organization of signal transduction, or the modulation of plasma membrane transporters, among others. Not surprisingly then, the misregulation of cholesterol biosynthetic and transport pathways has been related to numerous diseases, including neurodegenerative and metabolic disorders.

Objectives: To quantify utilization and impact on documentation time of a large language model-powered ambient artificial intelligence (AI) scribe.
Materials And Methods: This prospective quality improvement study was conducted at a large academic medical center with 45 physicians from 8 ambulatory disciplines over 3 months. Utilization and documentation times were derived from electronic health record (EHR) use measures.
Objective: This study evaluates the pilot implementation of ambient AI scribe technology to assess physician perspectives on usability and the impact on physician burden and burnout.
Materials And Methods: This prospective quality improvement study was conducted at Stanford Health Care with 48 physicians over a 3-month period. Outcome measures included burden, burnout, usability, and perceived time savings.
Introduction: Sarcopenia can be more significant and severe in the presence of cardiovascular diseases. In hospitalized older adults with acute cardiac disease, assessing strength parameters, muscle mass, and physical performance is difficult largely because of bed rest restrictions. In this context, simple questionnaire to rapidly diagnose sarcopenia (SARC-F) emerges as a feasible screening tool to identify sarcopenia in an emergency room setting.

We aimed to design a new model of care for NCDs at the primary care level by conducting a multimodal system assessment and co-design of potential solutions in the province of Mendoza.
Methods: We carried out a mixed-methods study with 7 components: evaluation of patterns of care, patient focus groups, cross-sectional standardized population-based phone survey, an electronic cohort follow-up of patients with type 2 diabetes, in-depth interviews with stakeholders, a knowledge test for health care providers on chronic condition management, and a Delphi consensus to provide recommendations from stakeholders.
Carbapenemase-producing carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (CP-CRE) represent a significant global threat. The emergence of dual CP-CRE is particularly alarming, as they can potentially compromise the efficacy of newer antibiotics, further decreasing therapeutic alternatives. Herein, we report the emergence of multiple species of CP-CRE recovered from invasive infections in Chile that simultaneously harbor and and provide an in-depth genomic characterization of these worrisome pathogens.
