Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the fluoride-releasing abilities of commercially available restorative materials such as-Activa™ BioActive-restorative™ material, Zirconomer (Shofu Inc), Beautifil II (Shofu Inc), GC Gold Label 9 high strength posterior restorative glass ionomer cement (GIC Corp).

Materials And Methods: A total of 40 disk specimens (10 of each material) were placed into distilled/deionized (DI) water and the fluoride release was measured for 30 days. Quinonoid dihydropteridine reductase (QDPR) is an enzyme that regulates tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), a cofactor for enzymes involved in neurotransmitter synthesis and blood pressure regulation. Reduced QDPR activity can cause dihydrobiopterin (BH2) accumulation and BH4 depletion, leading to impaired neurotransmitter synthesis, oxidative stress, and increased risk of Parkinson's disease. A total of 10,236 SNPs were identified in the QDPR gene, with 217 being missense SNPs.

Offline peptide separation (PS) using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is currently used to enhance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) detection of proteins. In search of more effective methods for enhancing MS proteome coverage, we developed a robust method for intact protein separation (IPS), an alternative first-dimension separation technique, and explored additional benefits that it offers. Comparing IPS to the traditional PS method, we found that both enhance detection of unique protein IDs to a similar magnitude, though in diverse ways.

Aim: To evaluate the additional effect of a single session of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) on the tongue as an adjunct to scaling and root planing (SRP) on most common volatile sulfur-producing microbes such as Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg), Treponema denticola (Td) and Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn) on 3rd, 7th and 14th day postoperatively using RT-PCR analysis.

Human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16) is the predominant genotype worldwide associated with invasive cervical cancer and hence remains as the focus for diagnostic development and vaccine research. L2, the minor capsid protein forms the packaging unit for the HPV genome along with the L1 protein and is primarily associated with transport of genomic DNA to the nucleus. Unlike L1, L2 is known to elicit cross-neutralizing antibodies and thus becomes a suitable candidate for pan-HPV prophylactic vaccine development.
