Rainwater harvesting (RWH) has proven to be an efficient method of curtailing water scarcity by substituting it as an alternative water supply which also helps to mitigate the risk of flooding caused due to heavy rainfall. While overcoming the water-related issues, implementation and identifying potential harvesting sites in urban areas on a large scale has always been challenging, necessitating additional research and constraint considerations. The proposed study implements a basin-wide approach and creates a tool using the geographical information system (GIS) to pinpoint site locations to collect rainstorm water.

Transitions from high-dose methadone to buprenorphine for treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD) present risk of precipitated withdrawal related to the introduction of a high-affinity partial agonist at the mu-opioid receptor after occupancy by a lower-affinity full agonist. Various strategies have been explored to maintain patient stability during this process, including microdosing buprenorphine. Current literature lacks consensus on an optimal setting and strategy for initiating a buprenorphine microdosing protocol and gives little detail on patients' conditions after the acute transition period.

Introduction: We present a case report of excellent oncological outcome after 7-year follow up in a female Indian patient with pT2N3aM0 rare GRCC of the breast following breast conservation surgery and appropriate adjuvant treatment. Glycogen rich cell carcinoma (GRCC) is a rare subtype of primary malignant neoplasm of the breast which is not commonly discussed. Only approximately 288 cases have been reported since its first description globally with reports of varying prognosis.

Type 1 Natural Killer T-cells (NKT1 cells) play a critical role in mediating hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI). Although hepatic steatosis is a major risk factor for preservation type injury, how NKT cells impact this is understudied. Given NKT1 cell activation by phospholipid ligands recognized presented by CD1d, we hypothesized that NKT1 cells are key modulators of hepatic IRI because of the increased frequency of activating ligands in the setting of hepatic steatosis.

Background: Osteomyelitis of the jawbone is mostly secondary to radiation exposure or bone remodelling drugs, with the mandible being commonly involved. Maxillary osteomyelitis risk is low owing to its high vascularity. This study was undertaken to evaluate risk factors, presentation, management and outcomes of maxillary osteomyelitis caused due to reasons other than irradiation and bone remodelling drugs.

A discrete-velocity Boltzmann equation (DVBE) with Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook (BGK) approximation is discretized in time and space using a third-order Runge-Kutta (RK3) and fifth-order weighted essentially nonoscillatory (WENO) finite-difference scheme to simulate benchmark inviscid compressible flows. The implementation of the WENO ensures that solutions behave with minimal or no oscillations, narrowing the gap between the exact and the numerical results. Discrete-velocity sets given by Kataoka and Tsutahara [Phys.

The entry of SARS-CoV-2 into host cells may involve the spike protein cleavage by cathepsin L (CTSL). Certain food proteins such as lactoferrin (Lf) inhibit CTSL. The current study investigated the impact of hydrolysis (0-180 min) by proteinase K on electrophoretic pattern, secondary structure, cathepsin inhibitory and SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus infectivity inhibitory of bovine Lf.

Background: Tobacco use, disproportionately higher in rural areas, is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in India. Interventions to reduce tobacco use in rural areas are scarce.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy of a community-directed tobacco prevention intervention in reducing tobacco use in rural areas.

Objective: To describe real-world baseline characteristics and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) at 6-month and 12-month follow-up visits among patients with psoriasis who initiated and maintained secukinumab, stratified by prior exposure to biologics.

Methods: This real-world study included patients enrolled in the CorEvitas (formerly Corrona) Psoriasis Registry who initiated and maintained secukinumab through 6-month and/or 12-month follow-up. Demographics, clinical characteristics, and PROs were collected.

Osteochondroma is one of the common bone tumours but is rarely seen in the head and neck region. Osteochondroma of the mandibular condyle, extending to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is an infrequent occurrence. Patients commonly present with restricted mouth opening and malocclusion.

Background And Objectives: Retroperitoneal tumors with involvement of the inferior vena cava (IVC) often require resection of the IVC to achieve complete tumor removal. This study evaluates the safety and efficacy of IVC ligation without caval reconstruction.

Methods: A retrospective chart review of patients who underwent IVC ligation (IVC-Ligation) and IVC resection with reconstruction (IVC-Reconstruction) at our institution between May 2004 and April 2021 was performed.

Transportation is among the key aspects that influence active ageing. This realist review intends to understand the mechanisms of urban mobility infrastructure interventions and policies in low- and middle-income countries for older adults and to identify factors, which influenced the success or failure of interventions. We followed the steps suggested by Pawson and colleagues for a realist review.

The photoaddition of -nitrosopiperidines to terminal alkynes was effected under visible-light irradiation, in which a novel synthetic access to tetrahydroimidazo[1,2-]pyridine 1-oxides was achieved via the dehydrogenative cycloisomerization of β-nitroso enamine intermediates. The decomposition pathways of -nitrosamines, alkynes, and β-nitroso enamine intermediates were better handled in a continuous flow setting through the diffusion control of chemical species that negatively affected the formation of tetrahydroimidazo[1,2-]pyridine 1-oxides under batch reaction conditions.

Background: The early detection of breast cancer (BrC) is associated with improved survival. We describe a blood-based breast cancer detection test based on functional enrichment of breast-adenocarcinoma-associated circulating tumor cells (BrAD-CTCs) and their identification via multiplexed fluorescence immunocytochemistry (ICC) profiling for GCDFP15, GATA3, EpCAM, PanCK, and CD45 status.

Methods: The ability of the test to differentiate BrC cases ( = 548) from healthy women ( = 9632) was evaluated in a case-control clinical study.

Chronic non-specific contamination of the reproductive tract in animals is a major issue during early postpartum, natural coitus, or artificial insemination. Uterine infection is one of the major concerns reducing fertility, production loss, and early culling of the animals. Therefore, the aim of this study was to identify any novel bacterium if present in the uterine environment of causing infections.

Introduction: Posterior urethral valves (PUV) is a leading cause of chronic renal failure in childhood. Bladder and posterior urethral deformity in infants with PUV are highly variable on initial voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG). Some types of deformity may be more important than others in determining the severity of the condition.

Innate lymphoid cells (ILCs), the most recently described family of lymphoid cells, play fundamental roles in tissue homeostasis through the production of key cytokine. Group 1 ILCs, comprised of conventional natural killer cells (cNKs) and type 1 ILCs (ILC1s), have been implicated in regulating immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. However, the role of ILC1s in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is unclear.
