The goal of the study was to compare the surface characteristics of typical implant materials used in orthopedic surgery and traumatology, as these determine their successful biointegration. The morphological and chemical structure of Vortex plate anodized titanium from commercially pure (CP) Grade 2 Titanium (Ti2) is generally used in the following; non-cemented total hip replacement (THR) stem and cup Ti alloy (Ti6Al4V) with titanium plasma spray (TPS) coating; cemented THR stem Stainless steel (SS); total knee replacement (TKR) femoral component CoCrMo alloy (CoCr); cemented acetabular component from highly cross-linked ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (HXL); and cementless acetabular liner from ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) (Sanatmetal, Ltd., Eger, Hungary) discs, all of which were examined.

The content of this low dose is not unequivocal, consequently, the pharmacokinetics of local anesthetics used by various authors are difficult to compare. In this study, the onset times and duration of the analgesic effect of local anesthetic mixture solutions used for brachial plexus blocks are investigated and the quality of anesthesia is compared.

We aimed to compare the DAA and the standard anterolateral approach (ALA), assessing multiple peri‑ and post-operative parameters.
Design And Setting: Between December of 2015 and May of 2017, patients operated with medial femoral neck fractures using bipolar hemiarthroplasty with DAA or ALA were evaluated.
Objectives: To investigate the correlation between non-operative prognostic factors and non-prosthetic fracture-related treatments following internal fixation of intracapsular femoral neck fractures in elderly patients.
Design And Setting: Retrospective observational cohort study. Comprehensive analysis of the Hungarian nationwide health insurance database.
Introduction: Developments in ultrasound guided (UG) peripheral nerve block (PNB) techniques have significant advantages for patients undergoing trauma surgery. Brachial plexus blockade (BPB) for upper extremity surgery provide superior analgesia, improve recovery and patient satisfaction. To the best of our knowledge there is no tool for evaluation of the quality of UG PNB which concerns the quality of PNB, the tolerance of the patient towards the anaesthetic approach, and postoperative analgesia as well.

Patients And Methods: The study included a total of 3,783 patients (917 males, 2,866 females) treated for primary monotraumatic femoral neck fractures caused by low-energy trauma in the year 2000. Cox regression and Kaplan-Meier survival analyses, and log-rank test were performed to evaluate the following prognostic factors: age, gender, place of living, type of primary fracture and surgical intervention, hospital providing treatment for primary fracture, and comorbidities.
Unlabelled: The study demonstrates that wintertime surgeries are associated with impaired fracture healing and increases the risk of conversion to hip arthroplasty after osteosynthesis of femoral neck fracture. Furthermore, the results raise the possibility of association between seasonal changes in vitamin D levels and impaired fracture healing of femoral neck fracture.
Introduction: Although the changes of vitamin D level and calcitropic hormones influencing bone metabolism are seasonal, the effect of seasons on hip fracture healing is unknown.
Cervical cancer is the second leading cause of death among female patients with cancer in the world. Our aim was to analyze cervical cancer cases, in the Southwestern Transdanubian Region of Hungary, with regard to human papillomavirus (HPV) genotype and histological and clinical grading. After HPV testing and genotyping, the expressions of eight different pre-microRNAs (miR-21, miR-27a, miR-34a, miR-146a, miR-155, miR-196a, miR-203, miR-221) in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) primary human cervical cancer samples were evaluated with the help of the LightCycler 480 PCR System (Roche).

Molecular technology applies microRNA in extremely wide spectrum from molecular tumor prediction, diagnostics, progression monitoring and prevention. Functional analysis of tissue miRNA and cell-free serum miRNA in posttranscription and translation regulation innovated and restructured the knowledge on the field.
