Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is prevalent in exclusively breastfed (EBF) Thai infants. However, in Thailand, iron supplementation guidelines for EBF infants are not available. This prospective open-label study aimed to estimate the prevalence of IDA in 9-month-old EBF infants after receiving iron supplementation from 4 months of age until they consumed adequate iron-rich food.

Background: Multiple human studies have shown no significant long-term results of anesthesia exposure during early childhood compared to the general population; however, reports on short-term neurodevelopmental assessment before and after anesthesia exposure are limited. This study aimed to evaluate the short-term characteristics of neurocognitive function post-anesthesia in noncardiac surgery compared with baseline.
Methods: This prospective case-control pilot study recruited healthy participants in the control group and hospitalized children in the anesthesia group.

We studied the prevalence of electronic media use at mealtime, its association with food intake, and associated factors.
Methods: 138 healthy 18- to 30-month-old children were classified according to the presence of feeding difficulties using the Thai language version of the Montreal Children's Hospital Feeding Scale.

This study examined whether pediatricians consider FASDs in children with developmental and behavioral problems.
Methods: All 149 pediatricians, 55 males and 94 females, in New Haven County, CT, were contacted to complete a web-based survey.

His teacher reported that he has always had a high activity level and difficulty shifting attention between tasks, as well as noncompliance with rules and directions.
