Purpose: To study uveitis prevalence in the local population with spondyloarthritis and its temporal relationship with joint complaints.

Methods: We reviewed seventy-seven charts of spondyloarthropathy patients from the rheumatology clinic of the "Hospital Universitário Evangélico de Curitiba" for spondyloarthritis class, patients' sex and age, occurrence of uveitis and its location and relationship between the first episode of uveitis and initial joint complaints.

The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence and the patterns of movement disorders (MD) in outpatients submitted to the chronic use of cinnarizine (cz) or flunarizine (fz), and to establish the main risk factors for MD development. Over a period of 3 months, data were collected from outpatients who were chronic users of cz or fz in a municipal health institute. A total of 26 outpatients were included and all of them were submitted to a protocol that included DSM-4 diagnosis criteria for drug-induced movement disorders, parkinsonism (PK) and depression.

In the international, but more so in the latin-american, medical literature infarction of the spinal cord has been rarely described except in relationship with surgery of the abdominal aorta. The objective of this report is to describe the diagnostic approach including clinical, electrophysiological, imaging and cerebrospinal fluid criteria. With these methods 17 cases were diagnosed between 1982 and 1989, one related to surgery of the abdominal aorta.
