Introduction: Tildrakizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the p19 subunit of interleukin 23 (IL-23), has shown promise in the management of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis, offering potential improvements in clinical outcomes and quality of life.

Objectives: The study aimed to identify patient characteristics that indicate the initiation of a 200 mg dosage of tildrakizumab in a real-world setting, focusing on factors that enhance treatment effectiveness and safety.

Methods: This prospective study included 54 adult patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis treated with tildrakizumab 200 mg from March 2023 to March 2024 across 13 Italian Dermatology Units.

Purinergic receptors regulate the processing of neural information in the hippocampus and cerebral cortex, structures related to cognitive functions. These receptors are activated when astrocytic and neuronal populations release adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in an autocrine and paracrine manner, following sustained patterns of neuronal activity. The modulation by these receptors of GABAergic transmission has only recently been studied.

Among the virtuous materials, chitosan emerges as a valid alternative to conventional polyethylene films because of its abundance in nature. In this work, a novel film for food wrapping was developed by exploiting shellfish waste according to a vision of circular economy.

Harmonization of tumor mutation burden testing with comprehensive genomic profiling assays: an IQN Path initiative.

Background: Although conflicting results emerged from different studies, the tumor mutational burden (TMB) appears as one of most reliable biomarkers of sensitivity to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Several laboratories are reporting TMB values when performing comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) without providing a clinical interpretation, due to the lack of validated cut-off values. The International Quality Network for Pathology launched an initiative to harmonize TMB testing with CGP assay and favor the clinical implementation of this biomarker.
