[Diagnosis and prognosis of fatty embolism].

The literature data on the diagnosis and prediction of fatty embolism complicating traumas have been reviewed. The findings of theoretical and clinical research obtained by computer processing of large information mass from relative control systems of data bases have been presented.

[The use of tramal in the orthopedics-traumatology clinic].

There were performed clinical and biochemical investigations of nonnarcotic analgetic tramal application (FRG, Grunenthal) with 196 patients of orthopedic-traumatologic type. The conclusion was drawn that the most effective is tramal application in patients with chronic pains in case of purulent complications and the optimum combination is the coupling of tramal with baralgin and relanium.

[Topographical and anatomic substantiation of sheath block of the brachial plexus].

The authors have studied the anatomic peculiarities of the fascial case of the plexus in an experiment on 60 preparations of the brachial plexus as well as the ways of diffusion of the solution along the case making use of various methods of block. It has been shown that the fascial case forms a closed space determining the diffusion of the solution on a considerable way along the plexus. The main way of diffusion of the anaesthetic solution are the paravasal loose connective tissue structures.

[Visual evaluation of the dynamics of the action of a myorelaxant based on the threshold contractile reaction of the orbicular muscles of the eye during indirect electric stimulation].

A method has been elaborated for the determination of the early signs of myorelaxation and the type of neuromuscular block by the visual assessment of the eye round muscles contraction under indirect electrical stimulation. The studies performed in 38 patients on myorelaxants have shown that the onset of the eye round muscles contraction under indirect electrical stimulation corresponds mainly to the early clinical symptoms of myorelaxation. The method is recommended as an additional clinical diagnostic technique for the assessment of neuromuscular block.
