Patients' perspectives on buprenorphine subcutaneous implant: a case series.

Background: Considering the enormous burden represented by the opioid use disorder (OUD), it is important to always consider, when implementing opioid agonist therapy (OAT), the potential impact on patient's adherence, quality of life, and detoxification. Thus, the purpose of the study is to evaluate how the introduction of a novel OAT approach influences these key factors in the management of OUD.

Case Presentation: This article marks the pioneering use of OAT through buprenorphine implant in Europe and delves into the experience of six patients diagnosed with OUD at a relatively young age.

A Probabilistic Result on Impulsive Noise Reduction in Topological Data Analysis through Group Equivariant Non-Expansive Operators.

In recent years, group equivariant non-expansive operators (GENEOs) have started to find applications in the fields of Topological Data Analysis and Machine Learning. In this paper we show how these operators can be of use also for the removal of impulsive noise and to increase the stability of TDA in the presence of noisy data. In particular, we prove that GENEOs can control the expected value of the perturbation of persistence diagrams caused by uniformly distributed impulsive noise, when data are represented by -Lipschitz functions from R to R.

First-Line Pharmacotherapies and Survival among Patients Diagnosed with Non-Resectable NSCLC: A Real-Life Setting Study with Gender Prospective.

Lupus erythematosus and localized scleroderma coexistent at the same sites: a rare presentation of overlap syndrome of connective-tissue diseases.

Overlap syndromes are known to occur with connective-tissue diseases (CTDs). Rarely, the overlap occurs at the same tissue site. We report the case of a patient with clinical and histopathologic findings consistent with the presence of discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) and localized scleroderma within the same lesions.

Set-back versus buried vertical mattress suturing: results of a randomized blinded trial.

Background: The set-back suture, an absorbable dermal suturing technique, purportedly improves wound eversion and cosmetic outcomes.

Objective: We sought to conduct a split-wound, prospective, randomized study to compare the cosmetic outcome and wound eversion achieved with the set-back suture and the buried vertical mattress suture (BVMS).
