Glyphosate (GLY)-based herbicide (GBH) formulations are widely used pesticides in agriculture. The European Union recently decided to extend the use of GLY in Europe until 2034. Previously, we showed that chronic dietary GBH exposure in adult hens resulted in a reversible increase in early mortality in chicken embryos.

Though very popular, it is well known that the Expectation-Maximisation (EM) algorithm for the Gaussian mixture model performs poorly for non-Gaussian distributions or in the presence of outliers or noise. In this paper, we propose a Flexible EM-like Clustering Algorithm (FEMCA): a new clustering algorithm following an EM procedure is designed. It is based on both estimations of cluster centers and covariances.

Here, we use a contact zone to ascertain speciation potential in the red-eyed treefrog (Agalychnis callidryas), a brightly coloured and polymorphic frog that exhibits unusually high levels of intraspecific variation. Anaesthesia for patients with unrepaired Tetralogy of Fallot coming for a non-cardiac surgery represents an additional risk of increased perioperative morbidity and mortality.
Case Presentation: We present a case of a 8 years old boy with unrepaired Tetralogy of Fallot scheduled for cleft lip repair.
Objective: This study aimed to assess health facilities' readiness to provide safe surgical care during Ebola and COVID-19 era in Uganda and in the Eastern DR Congo.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in selected national, regional referral and general hospital facilities in Uganda and in the eastern part of DR Congo from 1st August 2020 to 30th October 2020. Data was analysed using Stata version 15.

We performed a retrospective study of patient survival at 1 year and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) outcomes in cisplatin-pemetrexed-treated NSCLC patients.
Methods: Patients (P) treated for NSCLC between 2008 and 2014 were divided into two groups according to GFR at diagnosis: G1 (GFR ≥ 90 mL/min/1.
Background: Although superpotent topical corticosteroids are the first-line treatment for oral erosive lichen planus (OELP), topical rapamycin was found efficient in a previous case series.
Objectives: To compare the efficacy and safety of topical rapamycin and betamethasone dipropionate ointment for OELP in a randomized, double-blind trial.
Methods: Patients were randomized to receive treatment with betamethasone dipropionate ointment 0.
In many developing countries like Cameroon, unsafe abortion is a major public health problem. It can be responsible for severe complications including damage to the digestive and/or urinary tract, sepsis, and uterine perforation. Uterine perforation could be caused by most of the instruments that are used to evacuate the uterus.

Objectives: To characterize systematically the endoscopic lesions of a series of patients with oesophageal symptoms seen at a referral centre for autoimmune bullous diseases.
Methods: Clinical, endoscopic and immunological findings of consecutively referred patients with MMP with oesophageal involvement, systemic and endoscopic treatments, and follow-up are described.

Background: Autoimmune bullous diseases (AIBD) may cause chronic oral lesions that progress insidiously.
Aims: To provide recommendations for optimal oral-dental management of patients presenting AIBD with oral involvement.
Patients And Methods: In the absence of scientific studies with high levels of proof, these recommendations have been drawn up at two meetings by a committee of experts on AIBD comprising 7 dermatologists, 1 stomatologist, 1 maxillofacial surgeon, 2 odontologists and 4 parodontologists.
Remote sensing images are commonly used to monitor the earth surface evolution. This surveillance can be conducted by detecting changes between images acquired at different times and possibly by different kinds of sensors. A representative case is when an optical image of a given area is available and a new image is acquired in an emergency situation (resulting from a natural disaster for instance) by a radar satellite.

Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of daily oral CYC without corticosteroids as therapy for severe MMP.
This article focuses on the origins of analytical philosophy. It argues that the conditions under which it was thought out were similar to the conditions necessary for critical thinking - like the scientific inquiry that served as its model, analytical philosophy was based on the distinction between syntax and semantics. Resulting from logical analysis, this distinction was later essential to all systems of representation - works of art, human action, intellectual endeavours.

However, higher EBA incidence and predisposing genetic factor(s) involving an HLA haplotype have been suspected in some populations. This retrospective study assessed the overrepresentation of black patients with EBA, its link with HLA-DRB1*15:03, and their clinical and immunological characteristics.

Observations: Twenty-five patients with severe refractory MMP, including 5 with mucous membrane-dominant epidermolysis bullosa acquisita, received 1 or 2 cycles of rituximab (375 mg/m(2) weekly for 4 weeks).
Background: Fanconi anemia (FA) is a chromosomal instability disorder with a very high risk of developing head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), most notably after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
Methods: In the current study, the authors reported 13 cases of HNSCC in FA patients who underwent HSCT at the Saint Louis Hospital between 1976 and 2007.
Results: The median age of the patients at time of HSCT was 9.
We conducted a prospective study between 1995 and 2002 to investigate nose and throat (NT) manifestations of mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP). One hundred ten consecutive patients with clinical, histologic, and immunologic criteria of MMP were seen in 2 referral centers for bullous diseases. They were systematically asked about the existence of persistent NT symptoms.

Chronic phase chronic myelogenous leukemia patients treated with STI571 have durable responses; however, most responding blast phase patients relapse despite continued therapy. Co-crystallization studies of Abl kinase and an STI571-related compound identify specific amino acid residues as critical to STI571 binding, one of which, T315, has been characterized as an acquired Thr to Ile mutation in relapsed patients.
