Background and objectives Dentin hypersensitivity (DH) treatment is one of the main challenges dentists face in their daily clinical practice. Current therapies provide only temporary relief and require multiple applications to exhibit results, and there is a lack of evidence related to the long-term effects of these agents. Nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HA) and pro-argin (8.

Objective: To evaluate the correlation between the Respiratory Index of Severity (RISC) scoring system and the World Health Organization (WHO) interpretation of chest radiographs, and to evaluate the RISC scoring system in the diagnosis and assessment of severity of pneumonia in children against chest X-ray.

Methods: 241 children presenting to a tertiary care center with a clinical diagnosis of pneumonia that necessitated a chest radiograph to be taken, were enrolled. The RISC scoring was done for all participants by a single pediatrician and chest X-ray graded by a single radiologist as per the WHO interpretation of chest radiographs.

In clinical applications, single modality images do not provide sufficient diagnostic information. Therefore, it is necessary to combine the advantages or complementarities of different modalities of images. In this paper, we propose an efficient medical image fusion system based on discrete wavelet transform and binary crow search optimization (BCSO) algorithm.

DNA dodecamers have been designed with two cytosines on each end and intervening A and T stretches, such that the oligomers have fully complementary A:T base pairs when aligned in the parallel orientation. Spectroscopic (UV, CD and IR), NMR and molecular dynamics studies have shown that oligomers having the sequences d(CCATAATTTACC) and d(CCTATTAAATCC) form a parallel-stranded duplex when dissolved at 1:1 stoichiometry in aqueous solution. This is due to the C:C+ clamps on either end and extensive mismatches in the antiparallel orientation.
