Role of dacryoendoscopy in refractory cases of congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction.

: To highlight the importance of dacryoendoscopy in recognizing the factors responsible for failure with successful recanalization obviating the need for dacryocystorhinostomy in a few selective cases.: A retrospective study of 13 children undergoing dacryoendoscopy for refractory congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction (CNLDO) was carried out during a period of 3 years from 2016 to 2018. Children with single or multiple failed probings were included in the study.

Infantile Intraosseous Maxillary Hemangioma.

Background: Primary osseous hemangiomas of the facial skeleton mimic malignancy. Their location in maxillary sinus, especially in infants is extremely rare.

Case Characteristics: 1- month-old full term boy with maxillary swelling.

Extramedullary Haematopoiesis in a Case of Pilomatricoma.

Pilomatricoma is a benign follicular skin appendage tumour. It usually occurs as solitary lesion and is most commonly seen in the face and upper extremeties. Here we report a rare case of extramedullary haematopoiesis (EMH) in pilomatricoma in a 38-year-old lady.

High-risk histomorphological features in retinoblastoma and their association with p53 expression: An Indian experience.

Introduction: Histopathological features in retinoblastoma are considered high-risk factors (HRF) for tumor progression and metastasis, thus their presence becomes an indication for adjuvant chemotherapy. Present study was undertaken to evaluate the incidence of HRF in retinoblastoma and to correlate them with p53 expression. Materials and Methods: This was a retrospective study where 17 diagnosed cases of retinoblastoma were included.

Colonic gastrointestinal stromal tumour presenting as intussusception.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST) are rare in paediatric patients and have a discrete clinicopathological and molecular divergence from that observed in adults. In the present report we present a case of a 2-month-old female in whom colonic gastrointestinal stromal tumour acted as a lead point of colocolic intussusception. Laparoscopically assisted reduction of the intussusception and resection of tumour was done.

Giant Hydatid Cyst within a Congenital Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation of the Lung.

A case of hydatid cyst within a congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation (CCAM) of the right lower lobe of lung in an 8-year-old girl is reported. Presence of CCAM was confirmed on histopathology of the lung tissue attached to the specimen.

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma and lepromatous leprosy: a rare coexistence.

Lepromatous leprosy (LL) has been reported in the literature with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma and rarely with Hodgkin Lymphoma. However, an extensive search of the literature shows no case report describing anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) in association with LL. We report a case of a young male with LL who was found to have ALCL.
