Experience of a 'Screen and treat' program for secondary prevention of cervical cancer in Uttar Pradesh, India.

Aim: Considering the burden of cervical cancer in India, innovative approaches are needed to improve coverage of cervical cancer screening.

Methods: From May 2014 to January 2017, we implemented a project in 10 cities in Uttar Pradesh, India using World Health Organization-recommended 'screen and treat' approach for cervical cancer prevention. We involved private practitioners (obstetricians and gynecologists and general practitioners) in these cities to provide affordable cervical cancer screening to women mobilized by our community health workers.

Oral health of pregnant females in central India: Knowledge, awareness, and present status.

Background: The oral health of pregnant females needs attention, especially in developing countries like India where oral checkup and care is not considered to be a part of mandatory antenatal protocols.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the oral health status of pregnant females in Central India including the assessment of their knowledge, attitude, and awareness about oral health.

Materials And Methods: The study population comprised of 320 pregnant females, and a control group consisted of 103 age-matched nonpregnant females.

Aim: The present study was conducted to find the association among virulence determinants of verotoxic Escherichia coli (VTEC) isolated from cattle calf feces.

Materials And Methods: A total of 216 cattle calf fecal samples were collected aseptically and processed under required conditions for the isolation of E. coli.

High-risk histomorphological features in retinoblastoma and their association with p53 expression: An Indian experience.

Introduction: Histopathological features in retinoblastoma are considered high-risk factors (HRF) for tumor progression and metastasis, thus their presence becomes an indication for adjuvant chemotherapy. Present study was undertaken to evaluate the incidence of HRF in retinoblastoma and to correlate them with p53 expression. Materials and Methods: This was a retrospective study where 17 diagnosed cases of retinoblastoma were included.
