Even though apoptotic bodies (ABs) are frequent in colorectal adenomas, their relevance has been covered only in a few studies. Focal active cryptitis (FAC) is a well-known manifestation of several etiologies; however, its prevalence and significance in colonic adenomas were not scrutinized.
