This study focuses on the fabrication of 3D-printed chitosan/TiCT-MXene aerogels with varying MXene concentrations (1, 2, 5, and 10 wt%) using the direct ink writing (DIW) method. The inks were freeze-dried to form aerogels, and FTIR and XRD analyses confirmed interactions between chitosan and MXene molecules, leading to increased spacing between MXene nanosheets. Rheological testing showed improved shear-thinning behavior, enhancing printability.

This study aimed to measure the whole blood viscosity (WBV) in racehorses using a new viscometer and establish reference values, as well as to investigate the correlation between the WBV and the haematological parameters and serum chemistry. WBV measurements were conducted on 51 Thoroughbred horses using a novel U-shaped scanning capillary-tube viscometer. The reference values for the WBV were determined at various shear rates ranging from 1 s to 1 000 s.

In this study, we proposed a novel technique to simultaneously enhance the oxygen barrier properties and stiffness of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) while preserving its ductility. By utilizing in situ nanofibrillation, fiber-in-fiber composites of an HDPE matrix and ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) nanofibers were fabricated. Due to the high interfacial tension between HDPE and EVOH, stemming from their differences in chemical structure and polarity, styrene/ethylene-butylene/styrene copolymer grafted with maleic anhydride (SEBS--MA) was used as a compatibilizer to improve the affinity between the two polymers.

To address this, the Korean Sepsis Alliance, affiliated with the Korean Society of Critical Care Medicine, developed the first sepsis treatment guidelines for Korea based on a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis.

N-Arylindazole-3-carboxamide derivatives synthesized from an anti-MERS-CoV hit compound showed potent inhibitory activities against SARS-CoV-2. This study addresses the inherent fragility and fractal limitations of traditional silica aerogels by developing a bio-templated aerogel fiber. Integrating cellulose nanofibers (CNFs), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and silica aerogel (SA) in a dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) dispersion, a gel-spinning technique was employed to create aerogel fibers with superior thermomechanical performance. CNF also provided excellent rheological modification for successful spinnability, fast gelation, and fiber formation.

The swing process between the construction and destruction of hybrid nanostructures in conductive nanocomposites under an external stimulation plays a pivotal role in their sensing performance and is directly related to the nanoscale motion of the corresponding hybrid nanoparticles. When one-dimensional (1D) nanofibers and two-dimensional (2D) nanoplatelets were selectively distributed in thin cell walls supercritical CO foaming, the confined nanoscale motion of 1D nanofibers and 2D nanoplatelets in the stretching process, including hybrid nanoparticle rotation and separation, was precisely regulated based on the hybrid nanoparticles' Monte Carlo theoretical modelling. Correspondingly, an optimized complex hybrid nanostructure with a suitable nanoparticle content, hybrid ratio and geometry was proposed to achieve a high gauge factor of 4469.

In this study, we compared antithrombotic activities of Korean Red Ginseng (KRG) and (CPC) on rats with induced thrombosis. Results indicate that KRG and CPC suppressed the arterial occlusion and the combination of KRG and CPC (KRG + CPC) treatment exhibited a synergistic effect with maximum reduction in thrombosis.
