Purpose: Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are one of the most important reasons for absenteeism, high costs of health care and human injuries; the latter are very common in medical staff. The present study was designed to evaluate the effects of corrective exercises on quality of life and work-related musculoskeletal disorders in surgical residents.
Methods: In a quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design, we assessed the eligibility of 135 surgical assistants.
Purpose: The Western Ontario Shoulder Instability Index (WOSI) is the most commonly used patient-reported outcome measure to record the quality of life in patients with shoulder instability. The current study aimed to translate the WOSI into the Persian language and evaluate its psychometric properties.
Methods: The translation procedure of the WOSI was performed according to a standard guideline.
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the most common liver disorders with a relatively high mortality rate. Berberine has recently been found to have some antidiabetic and antihyperlipidemic effects, although the evidence of its effectiveness in NAFLD is limited. To assess the efficacy of berberine among patients with NAFLD.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in the Department of Sports and Exercise Medicine at Rasool Akram Hospital. Forty-eight patients suspected of having SIJD were selected from a total of 150 patients on the basis of a combination of symptoms, physical tests, and magnetic resonance imaging findings.
Focal myositis (FM) is a rare inflammatory myopathy characterized by a painful swelling of a skeletal muscle. The lower limb is the most common site for FM, but it has also been reported in the abdomen, forearm, neck, and tongue musculature. Some conservative treatments such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, physiotherapy, and steroids can relieve muscle pain and its minor complications.

Methods: Data sources/study setting: Review of English-language literature published in PubMed, Embase and Cochrane library (2007-2019). Study design: We performed a systematic literature review (SLR) to identify the impact of cancer care reforms.
Background: The sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SIJD) has been found to be the primary culprit for lower back pain (LBP), but it is still overlooked and treated as LBP. There are no guidelines or appropriate therapeutic protocols for SIJD. Thus, there is a need for an effective treatment strategy for SIJD.

The purpose of the study is to compare the effects of high-intensity laser therapy (HILT), conventional physical therapy (CPT), and exercise therapy (ET) on pain and function in patients with KOA. The study was designed as an assessor-blind randomized controlled trial.

Introduction: Factors such as prolonged sitting at work or improper posture of head during work may have a great role in neck pain occurrence among office employees, particularly among those who work with computers. Although some studies claim a significant difference in head posture between patients and pain-free participants, in literature the forward head posture (FHP) has not always been associated with neck pain. Since head, cervical and thoracic postures and their relation with neck pain has not been studied in Iranian office employees, the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between some work-related and individual factors, such as poor posture, with neck pain in the office employees.

Background: Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common musculoskeletal disease among old individuals which affects ability for sitting on the chair, standing, walking and climbing stairs. Our objective was to investigate the short and long-term effects of the most simple and the least expensive exercise protocols in combination to conventional conservative therapy for knee OA.
Methods: It was a single blind RCT study with a 12-months follow-up.

Unlabelled: Background Office workers spend a long period of time behind a computer during working hours. The relation between the posture of sitting during work with computer and neck pain is still debatable. Even though some researchers claim a significant difference in head posture between patients with neck pain and pain-free participants, the FHP (forward head posture) has not always been associated with neck pain in literature.

Saphenous nerve, a pure sensory nerve, may compromise as a result or complication of a surgical procedure or secondary to trauma or insidiously. We present a male patient with low back pain concomitant with pain in medial portion of left thigh in addition to pain and numbness in medial part of leg and inferior part of patella after a strenuous activity. Preliminary diagnosis suggested that the patient had radiculopathy but electrodiagnostic tests revealed the absence of left saphenous response both in medial leg and infrapatellar region, while normal findings were recorded from right side.
