Pediatric neurocritical care is a field dedicated to providing specialized assessment and care of critically-ill children with neurologic disease or at risk of neurologic compromise. Fellowship programs for providers interested in specializing in pediatric neurocritical care are growing and developing to meet the needs of trainees and the patient populations that they serve. Fetal and neonatal neurocritical care fellowship remains a separate opportunity for training; however, inclusion of fetal and neonatal neurology education into pediatric neurocritical care broadens understanding of normal and pathologic anatomy and physiology, diagnostic interpretation of the developing brain, targeted management interventions, family counseling and prognostication, and long-term optimization of outcomes.

In HP lung fibroblasts, the gene expression of proteins involved in the interaction with the immune response, their isoforms, and how they influence their phenotype have yet to be elucidated. Laser and remineralising agents in dental erosion: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Aim: This systematic review aimed to evaluate, by means of statistical comparison between selected studies, the effectiveness of laser irradiation on dental erosion applied alone or in combination with anti-erosive agents (fluoride, Acidulated phosphate fluoride APF and CPP-amorphous calcium fluoride phosphate CPP-ACFP), through optical profilometry and microhardness measurement.

Methods: The searching strategy was conducted according to the International PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines, to answer research ques-tions regarding the effectiveness of lasers used in the context of dental erosion (such as Nd:YAG, CO2, Er:YAG, Er,Cr:YSGG, Diode, and Argon Ion lasers). A comprehensive and unrestricted sys-tematic searching was performed using the electronic databases of PubMed and Cochrane Library, for all articles published up to the end of January 2023.

Treatment of Intrabony Defects with Non-Surgical Subgingival Debridement: A Radiographic Evaluation of Bone Gain Using an Experimental Digital Software "Bone Defect Analysis (BDA)".

The aim of this study was to retrospectively evaluate the 3-year radiographic outcomes of periodontal intrabony defects treated with non-surgical subgingival therapy (NST), assessing radiographic bone gain (RBG) through experimental digital software, named "Bone Defect Analysis (BDA)". The study included 17 intrabony defects in 14 patients. BDA software (version 1) was used on radiographs to calculate RBG (in %) and variations in defect angle (in °) between baseline (T0) and 3-year follow-up (T1).

Neonatal Outcomes of Infants Diagnosed with Fetal Growth Restriction during Late Pregnancy versus after Birth.

The aim of this study was to investigate the potential differences in the outcomes of neonates in whom FGR was diagnosed late in pregnancy as compared to those in whom growth restriction was diagnosed after birth. A retrospective study was conducted in a tertiary medical center between 2017 and 2019. The study included women carrying a single infant with an estimated fetal weight below the tenth percentile in whom FGR was diagnosed during late pregnancy, after 32 gestational weeks (known late-onset FGR; study group) or only after birth (unknown FGR; control group).

Fetal Cerebral Ventriculomegaly: A Narrative Review and Practical Recommendations for Pediatric Neurologists.

Fetal cerebral ventriculomegaly is one of the most common fetal neurological disorders identified prenatally by neuroimaging. The challenges in the evolving landscape of conditions like fetal cerebral ventriculomegaly involve accurate diagnosis and how best to provide prenatal counseling regarding prognosis as well as postnatal management and care of the infant. The purpose of this narrative review is to discuss the literature on fetal ventriculomegaly, including postnatal management and neurodevelopmental outcome, and to provide practice recommendations for pediatric neurologists.
