Rupture of pectoralis major tendon (PMT) is an uncommon injury, but its incidence has been increasing in the past 2 decades. Although open repair of the torn tendon is the preferred choice of treatment in acute and chronic cases, this often is not possible for chronic retracted tendon injuries. While several techniques have been described for PMT reconstruction, these allografts and autografts are often smaller and less thick than the native PMT.
