Morbid obesity in patients with chronic kidney disease is a contraindication for inclusion on the kidney transplant waitlist.Despite intentional weightloss,the persistence of the abdominal adipose panniculus poses postoperative risks, such as infection of the surgical site and seromas. We describe 2 cases of patients on hemodialysis who had a body mass index greater than 35 kg/m² who underwent abdominoplasty before transplant without perioperative complications.

Introduction: Kidney transplantation is the treatment of choice in patients with end- stage renal disease. Renal transplantation in without fear of ethical conflicts is the best treatment option in the elderly.
