The paralogues Yes-associated protein (YAP) and transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ) control cell proliferation and cell fate determination from embryogenesis to ageing. In the skin epidermis, these proteins are involved in both homeostatic cell renewal and injury-induced regeneration and also drive carcinogenesis and other pathologies. YAP and TAZ are usually considered downstream of the Hippo pathway.

Such functional equivalents can be used to model and study the morphogenesis of the skin and its derivatives, to test drugs, and to improve the healing of chronic wounds, burns, and other skin injuries. The evolution of LSEs over the past 50 years has demonstrated the leap in technology and quality and the shift from classical full-thickness LSEs to principled new models, including modification of classical models and skin organoids with skin derived from human-induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) (hiPSCs).

We report on the stabilization of ferromagnetic skyrmions in zero external magnetic fields, in exchange-biased systems composed of ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic (FM-AFM) bilayers. By performing atomistic spin dynamics simulations, we study cases of compensated, uncompensated, and partly uncompensated FM-AFM interfaces, and investigate the impact of important parameters such as temperature, inter-plane exchange interaction, Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction, and magnetic anisotropy on the skyrmions appearance and stability. The model with an uncompensated FM-AFM interface leads to the stabilization of individual skyrmions and skyrmion lattices in the FM layer, caused by the effective field from the AFM instead of an external magnetic field.

Here we report on studies of both explicit and implicit lattice effects on laser induced ultrafast demagnetisation of bcc Fe and fcc Co. We do this using atomistic spin- and lattice dynamics simulations following a heat-conserving three-temperature model.

Background: 2025 is going to be the 100th anniversary of the first historical description of Turner syndrome - complex of genomic abnormalities, congenital gonadal disruption and hypergonadotropic hypogonadism. Total estrogenic deficiency triggers development of age-related comorbidities. There is no doubt that personalized search for replicative markers of cellular aging among females with Turner syndrome is needed.

According to present medical databases there many trials to provide in vivo researches in vivo to confirm/refute shortening process of telomeres among patients with Turner syndrome. Despite the successful clinical experience of providing such patients with Turner syndrome, a lot of omics (proteomic and metabolomic) aspects still stay unclear. Main disadvantages of most researches are small volume and minimized mathematical correlation with chronic disease (coronary heart disease, essential hypertension, cardiovascular malformations).

We propose here a novel equaliser designs based on bidirectional long short-term memory (BLSTM) gated recurrent neural network and compare their performance with the equaliser based on several fully connected layers. The proposed approach accounts for the correlations between different nonlinear spectral components.

We demonstrate through numerical modeling about one order of magnitude bit error rate improvement and compare this method with machine learning processing based on the classification of the received symbols. The proposed approach also offers a way to improve numerical accuracy of the inverse NFT; therefore, it can find a range of applications beyond optical communications.

Therefore, oxygen-transporting properties of RBC should undergo considerable changes during the rGHT. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of rGHT on erythrocyte shape and hemoglobin state in GHD children.

Background: Having a positive outlook provides both short-term benefits and has been proven to help people live longer. Music is capable of conveying positive and negative emotion towards ageing, however, only a limited number of unpublished studies exist on how age and ageing is represented in popular music.
The aim of our study was to examine the effects of 12-month therapy with recombinant growth hormone (rGH) on the blood antioxidant system in children with growth hormone deficiency (GHD). Total antioxidant capacity (TAC) of plasma was measured by FRAP (ferric reducing antioxidant power or ferric reducing ability of plasma); activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) in erythrocytes were assessed; non-protein thiols (NT) and ceruloplasmin (CP) levels were also measured. These parameters were determined before and after 12 month of rGH treatment.

The authors describe a case of clinical use of transesophageal pacing to correct drug-induced bradycardia during anesthesia, surgery, and in the early postoperative period in a geriatric patient with severe cardiovascular comorbidity who has been long receiving a beta-adrenoblocker. They show it possible to employ the procedure long in the therapy of bradyarrhythmias resistant to the cholinolytic atropine.
