A Comprehensive Review of Fear of Eating Behaviour in Individuals with Diabetes: Exploring Therapeutic Interventions for Diabulimia.

Objective: This review aims to comprehensively analyse the fear of eating behaviour in individuals with diabetes, known as diabulimia or ED-DMT1. The emotional and psychological factors contributing to disordered eating behaviours, their impact on diabetes management, and potential consequences on physical health are explored. Various therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioural therapy and psychological support, the role of nutrition education, individualized treatment plans support groups in managing fear of eating behaviour in diabetes are examined and discussed.

Sustained attention detection in humans using a prefrontal theta-EEG rhythm.

This research highlights the importance of the prefrontal theta-EEG rhythm in sustained attention monitoring over the Fp1 electrode. In an experiment conducted with 20 participants, four successive mental tasks are sent briefly by an automated computer program connected to a speakerphone: wait, relax, get ready, and concentrate. Furthermore, each individual participated in this experiment 20 times.

Role of narrow band imaging in detecting recurrence in patients of squamous cell carcinoma larynx and hypopharynx who underwent radiotherapy/chemo-radiotherapy.

Background: Narrow band imaging (NBI) is an emerging modality that enhances the accuracy of detection of head and neck malignancies by visualisation of aberrant neoangiogenesis in malignant tissue using narrow bandwidth light in blue and green spectrum. The purpose of this study was to assess the role of NBI in detecting recurrence in patients with Squamous cell carcinoma larynx and hypopharynx who have undergone Radiotherapy/Chemoradiotherapy (RT/CTRT). The aim of the study was to (a) determine the role of NBI in follow-up of patients with carcinoma of larynx and hypopharynx previously treated with radiotherapy or chemotherapy, (b) determine the role of NBI as the initial investigatory tool of choice in detecting local recurrence and compare with other modalities like fibreoptic laryngoscopy (FOL), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography- Computed Tomography (PETCT).

Schizophrenia diagnosis using the GRU-layer's alpha-EEG rhythm's dependability.

Verifying schizophrenia (SZ) can be assisted by deep learning techniques and patterns in brain activity observed in alpha-EEG recordings. The suggested research provides evidence of the reliability of alpha-EEG rhythm in a Gated-Recurrent-Unit-based deep-learning model for investigating SZ. This study suggests Rudiment Densely-Coupled Convolutional Gated Recurrent Unit (RDCGRU) for the various EEG-rhythm-based (gamma, beta, alpha, theta, and delta) diagnoses of SZ.

An Inflammatory Polyp-Like Benign Sinonasal Mass Lesion - Respiratory Epithelial Adenomatoid Hamartoma: A Case Report.

Respiratory epithelial adenomatoid hamartoma (REAH) is an uncommon, benign glandular proliferation that arises from the surface epithelium of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Here we report a case, wherein a 62-year male from northern Kerala presented with bilateral nasal obstruction, loss of sense of smell, and bilateral nasal discharge. On examination, a polypoidal lesion was observed in the left nasal cavity, filling the entire left middle meatus.

Outpatient Clinical Markers for Laryngopharyngeal Reflux Disease: A Correlational Study.

Laryngopharyngeal reflux disease (LPRD) is the result of retrograde flow of gastric contents to the laryngopharynx which comes in contact with tissues of the upper aerodigestive tract. Due to ill defined criteria for diagnosis & followup, LPRD patients are underdiagnosed & undertreated. Reflux Symptom Index (RSI) and the Reflux Finding Score (RFS) are two clinical methods which can be utilised especially in the outpatient setup.

Primary Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma of the Nose: A Rare Case Report.

Extranodal NKT-cell lymphoma, nasal type (ENKL) is a rare nasal pathology, which in the past was grouped with list of granulomatous diseases. It is an aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma characterized clinically by a non-relenting destruction of the midline structures of the palate and nasal cavity. Despite the malignant clinical nature, tissue diagnosis may be difficult due to extensive tissue necrosis mandating multiple biopsies and has an ominous prognosis, as the average survival rate lying between 6 and 25 months as in large number of Asian studies.

An improved 2-level MPPT scheme for photovoltaic systems using a novel high-frequency learning based adjustable gain-MRAC controller.

Under rapidly changing environmental conditions, the model reference adaptive control (MRAC) based MPPT schemes need high adaptation gain to achieve fast convergence and guaranteed transient performance. The high adaptation gain causes high-frequency oscillations in the control signals resulting in numerical instability and inefficient operation. This paper proposes a novel high-frequency learning-based adjustable gain MRAC (HFLAG-MRAC) for a 2-level MPPT control architecture in photovoltaic (PV) systems to ensure maximum power delivery to the load under rapidly changing environmental conditions.

Clinico-etiological Profile and Developmental Status of Infants Aged 1-24 months with Epilepsy.

Objective: To study the clinico-etiological profile of epilepsy in children aged 1-24 mo attending a tertiary-care public hospital.

Methods: All infants aged 1-24 mo with epilepsy (as per International League Against Epilepsy, 2014) presenting between April 2016 and March 2017 were enrolled. Detailed history and examination were done in all children, and developmental assessment was done using Developmental Assessment Scale for Indian Infants (DASII).
