Introduction: Transurethral Resection of Prostate (TURP) is the most common treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). Blood loss during and after transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) is a potential cause of morbidity and clot retention. Usual practise is to apply traction in every case of TURP to reduce early postoperative hematuria and clot retention.
