Introduction: Cervical cancer, the most prevalent cancer among women, is also the primary cause of cancer-related deaths in reproductive age women in Nepal. The study aims to assess the situation of cervical cancer screening services in Nepal.
Methods: This cross-sectional study used quantitative methods to understand the situation of cervical cancer screening in 572 health facilities of Nepal.
Trifluoromethyl arenes (Ar-CF) are amongst the commonly encountered fluorinated substructures in pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and material sciences. To expand the scope of accessible Ar-CF-based molecules, we present an orthogonal deoxyfluoroalkylation/aromatization approach that exploits readily accessible and programable cyclohexan(en)one substrates, which undergo a reliable 1,2-addition reaction with the Ruppert-Prakash reagent (TMSCF) followed by aromatization to deliver highly functionalized Ar-CF compounds in a one/two-pot sequence.

Whether MmpL3 serves as the direct target of these compounds, however, has been called into question after the discovery that some of them dissipated the proton motive force from which MmpL transporters derive their energy. Using a combination of in vitro and whole-cell-based approaches, we here provide evidence that five structurally distinct MmpL3 inhibitor series, three of which impact proton motive force in Mycobacterium tuberculosis, directly interact with MmpL3.

Methods: Women were surveyed and screened for HR-HPV during a health camp conducted by the Nepal Fertility Care Center. Univariate and multivariable statistical tests were performed to determine the association of a husband's migration status with HR-HPV infection and cervical cytology status.
