Introduction: To sustain hoop stress, prevent extrusion, and maintaining the function of the meniscus, the posterior root attachment point of the medial meniscus is essential. The purpose of this study is to determine the functional and radiological outcome of conservative therapy and meniscal repair for medial meniscal root tears.
Materials And Methods: Prospective evaluations were performed on forty individuals who confirmed a diagnosis of Medial meniscus root tear (MMRT).
Background The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has underscored the multifaceted impact of the virus on human health, extending beyond the respiratory system to involve other organ systems, including the endocrine system. Emerging evidence suggests a notable interaction between COVID-19 and thyroid function, characterized by alterations in thyroid hormone levels and structural changes within the gland. This study aims to explore the association between thyroid density on CT imaging and lung involvement in patients with COVID-19, potentially offering new insights into the systemic effects of the virus.

However, this is associated with alterations in the patellar height (PH) and tibial slope (TS). This study aims to compare the effect of ascending (AMHTO) and descending medial opening wedge HTO (DMHTO) on patella height, posterior tibial slope and functional outcomes.

Methods: Patients with mild-to-moderate evaporative dry eye disease (DED) and/or meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) undergoing refractive surgery were included. Group 1 patients received TPT (LipiFlow) prior to laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK; n = 32, 64 eyes), and Group 2 patients received TPT three months after LASIK (n = 27, 52 eyes).
Background: Considering various factors that influence meniscal repairability, Ortho One PROMT score (OPS) was proposed in 2019. With an increased understanding of factors influencing meniscal repair and by analysis of OPS predictions and repair results, a modified PROMT score (MPS) has been formulated. The objective of this study is to assess the superiority of MPS over OPS.

The current study foresees better non-toxic antimicrobial substances (conventional antibiotics) that insist to consider medicinal plants and animal-derived products, which have better antibiotics without any side effects.

The study aimed to assess stress and the factors that influence it in a representative population in the state of Tamil Nadu (TN)-a state in the southern India where the levels of stress have not been measured yet.
Methods: From April 13 to April 25, 2020, we conducted an online survey among the TN population using the snowball sampling technique, collecting basic demographic data.
Introduction Dental caries is a ubiquitous bacterial infection that has afflicted people for years. () are markers of dental caries and the population of in the saliva is directly related to the number of surfaces colonized by them. Any intervention that can inhibit their growth and survival will negatively impact the initiation and progress of caries.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare and evaluate the caregiver burden and depression between the special school-going children and nonschool-going children with intellectual disability.
There is a high demand for high energy and power density in the field of energy storage devices. To rectify these limitations, a novel asymmetric solid-state supercapacitor (ASSC) was designed and fabricated using a copper anchored boron doped graphene nanosheet (CuBG) as a negative electrode and reduced graphene nanoplatelets as a positive electrode with HSO/PVA as the quasi-solid electrolyte. The CuBG was prepared using a two step hydrothermal process followed by pyrolysis at different temperatures using chemical vapour deposition (CVD), using copper sulphate (CuSO) and boron-trioxide (BO) as precursors, for doping in graphene oxide.

It has frequently been associated with metabolic perturbations and liver damages. Various members of the family of acyl-CoA synthetases are known to be involved in the production of bioactive fatty acids, and altered expression of its encoding genes has been found to be involved in metabolic perturbations.

Laser backscattering from biological tissues depends on their composition and blood flow. The onset of the tissue abnormalities is associated with the change in composition at a specific location which may affect laser backscattering. The objective of the present work is to detect the compositional changes in tissue-equivalent phantom of fat, prepared by mixing paraffin wax with wax colors, and to characterize these in terms of their optical parameters.

The normalized backscattered intensity (NBI) profiles at various locations of human thorax by multiprobe laser reflectometer are obtained. These data after digitization, interpolation, and filtering are color-coded and displayed as images on the outline of the human thorax. For optical characterization of tissues in terms of their parameters, scattering and absorption coefficients and the anisotropy parameter (g) are obtained by matching the measured NBI profile with that as obtained by Monte Carlo simulation procedure.
