Infiltration and inflow (I/I) into sanitary sewers causes numerous negative effects on the whole wastewater management system and ultimately, on the receiving waters. Consequently, a number of methods have been developed to analyse the performance of sewer systems with respect to I/I, including: distributed temperature sensing (DTS), closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspections, flow and conductivity measurements, automatic or grab sampling of ammonium, smoke testing, and visual inspection of manholes. Such methods were compared in an application to sanitary sewers in a small community and assessed with respect to their accuracy and ability to identify locations of sources of I/I, as well as temporal and spatial resolutions of the obtained results.

GPR18 was proposed as a candidate for eCBR. To address the hypothesis that the effects attributed to eCBR are mediated by G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR)-independent targets, we studied the electrical responses in endothelial cells, focusing on BK channels.

We also know that stimulation of type 2 cannabinoid (CB) receptors ameliorates atherosclerosis. However, whether atherosclerosis is accompanied by altered endothelial K- and CB receptor-dependent signaling is unknown.

In addition, LPC suppresses acetylcholine (Ach)-induced responses. We aimed to determine the influence of LPC and LPI on hyperpolarizing responses in vitro and in situ endothelial cells (EC) and identify the underlying mechanisms.

It has been found that in vivo administration of ω-3 PUFA (Epadol 0.1 ml/100 gr of weight for 4 weeks) significantly reduced the swelling of subsarcolemmal and interfibrillar mitochondrial fractions by 65.

Serum uric acid was shown to be an independent predictor of chronic heart failure exacerbation in atrial fibrillation patients.

The main reasons for this are cross-connections, illicit connections, overflows and leakages through broken sewers. Such discharges may affect receiving water quality and increase risks to public health and aquatic organisms.

We investigated the influence of dietary omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 PUFAs) administered to rats (Epadol, 0.1 mg/100 gr of weight for 4 weeks) on these parameters.

There are two subfractions of mitochondria located in different regions of the cell: subsarcolemmal mitochondria (SSM) and interfibrillar mitochondria (IFM). The present study explored possible differences between Ca(2+)-induced mitochondrial swelling in rat SSM and IFM fractions under control conditions (control group [CG]) and after dietary supplementation with omega-3 PUFA (experimental group [EG]).

Experimental Approach: The effects of NAGly on endothelial electrical signalling were studied in combination with vascular reactivity.
1. High dietary Na(+) is associated with impaired vascular endothelial function. However, the underlying mechanisms are not completely understood.

After the above chemotherapy, closure of the cavities, diminution in size and consolidation of the foci as well as infiltrates, dispelling of the symptoms of intoxication, and discontinuance of bacteria discharge were observable in 70.
