Prcis: While glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible vision loss, it presents technical challenges in the design and implementation of screening. New technologies such as PRS and AI offer potential improvements in our ability to identify people at high risk of sight loss from glaucoma and may improve the viability of screening for this important disease.

Purpose: To review the current evidence and concepts around screening for glaucoma.

Introduction: Simulation activities are valuable teaching aids for understanding about living with visual impairment (VI). Our medical students used low-vision simulation spectacles (Sim-specs) to enable learning about VI.

Methods: Students made tea and filled dosette boxes using Sim-specs simulating central visual loss (age-related macular degeneration) and navigated using Sim-specs simulating peripheral visual loss (glaucoma).

Purpose: To present an unusual case of cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis in a patient with Wegener's granulomatosis.

Results: A 54-year-old lady with Wegener's granulomatosis presented with decreased vision in her left eye. Wegener's retinal vasculitis was diagnosed initially and the patient received treatment with oral steroids.
