Nowadays, much attention is paid to the development of high-performance and multifunctional materials, but it is still a great challenge to obtain polymer materials with high mechanical properties, high self-healing properties, and multifunctionality in one. Herein, an innovative strategy is proposed to obtain a satisfactory waterborne polyurethane (PMWPU-Bx) by in situ anchoring 3-aminophenylboronic acid (3-APBA) in a pyrene-capped waterborne polyurethane (PMWPU) via supramolecular interactions. The multiple functional sites inherent in 3-APBA can produce supramolecular interactions with groups on PMWPU, promoting the aggregation of hard domains in the polymer network, which confers the PMWPU-Bx strength (7.

Organic room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) luminogens have showed significant potential in the fields of diagnostics, sensing, and information encryption. However, it is difficult to achieve high RTP yield (Φ) and long RTP lifetime simultaneously. By methyl substitution, positional isomerism, and host-guest doping, three new D-π-A type luminogens named as TBTDA, 2M-TBTDA, and 3M-TBTDA were designed and synthesized, whose RTP properties were tuned and optimized.

This study aimed to analyze the causative factors of histological chorioamnionitis (HCA) in parturients with intrapartum fever, assess the implications for maternal and neonatal outcomes, and develop a predictive model to enhance clinical decision-making. A retrospective analysis was performed on 408 parturients with intrapartum fever at Fujian Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023. Based on post-delivery placental pathology, the data were categorized into HCA (249 cases) and non-HCA groups (159 cases).

While the involvement of ATP:cob(I)alamin adenosyltransferases (MMAB) in the synthesis, delivery, and repair of 5'-deoxyadenosylcobalamin (AdoCbl) is well established, the kinetic mechanisms that regulate this process, particularly its negative cooperativity, remain poorly understood. Understanding these mechanisms is key to clarifying how MMAB efficiently uses AdoCbl, prevents resource wastage, and supports bacterial survival in nutrient-limited environments.

Method: Ninety patients hospitalized in ICU from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected and divided into a control group (n = 45) and a study group (n = 45) according to different ward management methods. The management lasted for one month.
Although previous studies have shown that preoperative pulmonary rehabilitation training may improve postoperative prognosis in patients with lung cancer, the literature included in the existing meta-analysis is highly heterogeneous and lacks effective subgroup analysis. Therefore, an updated meta-analysis is needed to integrate the latest published randomized controlled clinical trials (RCT). This updated analysis was performed to identify the clinical effects of preoperative pulmonary rehabilitation on physical rehabilitation (lung function, activity endurance, and dyspnea), psychological rehabilitation, quality of life, length of hospital stay, and postoperative pulmonary complications in patients with lung cancer.

Previous researches have noted the relationships between immune cells and HCC, but the causal relationship was uncertain.
Methods: In this study, a bidirectional two sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was utilized to access the causal relationship between immune cell characteristics and HCC.
Background: Significant tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. The development of transcatheter valve repair therapies has opened a wide range of opportunities for treatment of patients with high surgical risk. Real-world data might improve patient selection and outcome.

The Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Adolescents (UP-A), which aims to apply transdiagnostic treatment principles to target core dysfunctions across a range of emotional disorders with a single protocol, could fill this gap. We first modified the UP-A for use in the Chinese cultural context and then assessed its feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy using a single-arm design.

Low-dose radiotherapy (LDRT) is increasingly being investigated for potential cancer treatment. When combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors, LDRT has been shown to significantly improve the immune microenvironment of tumors, thereby promote the immune attack on tumor cells.

Aim: To analyze the association between BMI at birth and neonatal health outcomes in extremely low and very low birth weight preterm infants in China.
Methods: Used data from the Chinese Premature Infant Informatization Platform (2022-2023).
Background: Treating melasma remains challenging. We conducted a meta-analysis to assess the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture as a treatment option.
Methods: We searched three English and four Chinese databases up to January 2, 2024.
This study aimed to evaluate the cholesterol-regulatory effects of lauric-acid-esterified octacosanol (LEO) and oleic-acid-esterified octacosanol (OEO) compared to their unmodified counterparts and to investigate the underlying mechanisms by partially substituting the fat content in obese C57BL/6J mice induced with a high-fat diet (HFD). Rice bran oil and coconut oil were also investigated as they are rich in oleic acid and lauric acid, respectively. The results showed that all supplemented groups significantly inhibited weight gain induced by the HFD, but the groups treated with esterified octacosanol exhibited a more pronounced effect.

However, primitive natural evaporators cannot currently meet growing demand, and their performance limitations remain largely unexplored, presenting a substantial challenge. Through extensive experimentation and detailed simulation analysis, this study presents a precisely engineered H-type bamboo steam generator.

Yet, the substantial interspaces and free volumes inherent to MOFs can undermine photoluminescence efficiency, as they partially constrain intramolecular dynamics. In this study, we achieved optimization of both one- and two-photon excited fluorescence by incorporating linkers into an interpenetrated tetraphenylethene-based MOF (TPE-MOF).

Cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS)-Stimulator of interferon genes (STING) signaling pathway, an essential element in the innate antiviral immune responses, has emerged as a key component of innate immune system to modulate type I IFNs production and response by recognizing both exogenous and endogenous DNA. Although some cGAS-STING signaling small molecule agonists have been developed, there are few natural polysaccharides reported to activate cGAS-STING signaling for the treatment of infectious diseases. Here, we reported that Laminaran, a low molecular weight β-glucan storage polysaccharide present in brown algae, potentiates cGAS-STING signaling to promote type I IFNs production and antiviral response.
