Two-dimensional liquid chromatography (2D-LC) separation systems, based on two independent columns with different separation mechanisms, have exhibited strong resolving power for complex samples. Therefore, in recent years, the exceptional resolution of 2D-LC has significantly advanced the chemical separation of natural products, such as complex herbs, greatly facilitating their qualitative and quantitative analysis. This paper aims to review the latest strategies of 2D-LC in the quantitative analysis of complex chemical compositions in natural products.

Introduction: Protein A immunoadsorption (IA) is proving to be an effective treatment method for autoimmune diseases and other disorders. Regional citrate anticoagulation (RCA) prevents clotting in extracorporeal circuits without increasing hemorrhage risk in high bleeding risk patients, but there are no specific guidelines for its application in IA. We aimed to evaluate the safety and adverse effects of RCA used in IA therapy.

species are systemic, often seed-transmissible symbionts (endophytes) of cool-season grasses (Poaceae subfam. Poöideae) that produce up to four classes of bioprotective alkaloids. Whereas haploid species may reproduce sexually and transmit between host plants (horizontally), many species are polyploid hybrids that are exclusively transmitted via seeds (vertically).

Reactivation of endogenous retroviruses (ERVs) has been proposed to be involved in aging. However, the mechanism of reactivation and contribution to aging and age-associated diseases is largely unexplored. In this study, we identified a subclass of ERVs reactivated in senescent cells (termed senescence-associated ERVs (SA-ERVs)).

Background: Multiple myeloma is a malignant tumour of the blood in which abnormal proliferation of plasma cells leads to bone destruction, renal impairment, anaemia, and hypercalcaemia. Renal impairment caused by multiple myeloma is a common and serious condition; however, the prognosis of multiple myeloma at the time of diagnosis remains unclear.

Method: We conducted searches for literature in PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane, Embase, CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases up to 30 April 2023.

As a promising sustainable power source in intelligent electronics, Triboelectric Nanogenerators (TENGs) have garnered widespread interest, with various strategies explored to enhance their output performance. However, most optimization methods for triboelectric materials have focused solely on tuning chemical compositions or fabricating surface microstructures. Here, we have prepared amino-functionalized reduced graphene oxide (FRGO)/polyimide (PI) composite films (PI-FRGO) via in-situ polymerization, aimed at enhancing PI materials' nanotribological power generation performance.

IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is one of the most common primary glomerulonephritis, and serum () antibody levels are increased in patients with IgA N, but the role of infection in the pathogenesis of IgAN is unclear. In this study, we investigated whether there is a causal relationship and reverse causality between IgAN and infection by using a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. This study was estimated using inverse variance weighted (IVW), MR-Egger and weighted median methods, with the IVW method having the strongest statistical efficacy.

-Acetylnorloline synthase (LolO) is one of several iron(II)- and 2-oxoglutarate-dependent (Fe/2OG) oxygenases that catalyze sequential reactions of different types in the biosynthesis of valuable natural products. LolO hydroxylates C2 of 1--acetamidopyrrolizidine before coupling the C2-bonded oxygen to C7 to form the tricyclic loline core. Each reaction requires cleavage of a C-H bond by an oxoiron(IV) (ferryl) intermediate; however, different carbons are targeted, and the carbon radicals have different fates.
