We show in this work that incorporating geometric features and geometry processing algorithms for mouse brain image registration broadens the applicability of registration algorithms and improves the registration accuracy of existing methods. We introduce the preprocessing and postprocessing steps in our proposed framework as RegBoost. We develop a method to align the axis of 3D image stacks by detecting the central planes that pass symmetrically through the image volumes.

Methods: In this study, inoculated with or without AMF () under different Mn concentrations (0 mmol/L, 1 mmol/L, 5 mmol/L, 10 mmol/L, and 20 mmol/L) was cultivated via a pot experiment, and plant biomass, physiological and biochemical characteristics, manganese absorption, subcellular distribution, and chemical forms of Mn were examined.
Results: The results showed that root biomass, stem biomass, leaf biomass, and total individual biomass decreased under high Mn concentrations (above 10 mmol/L), and the inoculated plants had higher biomass than the uninoculated plants.
Objective: Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is associated with a significant reduction in the mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP, ΔΨm). Fluorescence-based assays are effective for labelling active mitochondria in living cells; their application in heart tissue, however, represents a challenge because of a low yield of viable cardiomyocytes after cardiac perfusion. Here, we compare the contribution of two primarily dopaminergic and largely non-overlapping VTA subpopulations, all VTA dopamine neurons and VTA GABAergic neurons of the mouse midbrain, to these processes. We find that the dopamine subpopulation that projects to the nucleus accumbens (NAc) core preferentially encodes reward-predictive cues and prediction errors.
