Purpose: Define the impact of the implementation of evidence-based music medicine (MM) on pain management outcomes after abdominal and pelvic surgery when combined with usual care.

Design: This quality improvement project implemented MM in a hospital postanesthesia care unit using a pretest-posttest design. The Roy Adaptation Model and Kotter's Change theory guided all project phases.

The current quality improvement interventional study aimed to determine whether an educational intervention focused on evidence-based practices of sepsis screening for RNs would increase accuracy of sepsis screenings performed among older adult patients in a 32-bed medical-surgical unit of a large urban trauma hospital. A total of 34 RNs participated in this study. Sepsis screenings of participants were collected and audited before and after the educational intervention to determine changes in sepsis screening accuracy.

Background: Falls remain a major cause of childhood morbidity and mortality. To improve effectiveness of our prevention program, we used our electronic injury surveillance database to analyze patient variables and the incidence of fall-related brain injury.

Methods: The database was queried for all injuries treated in the pediatric emergency department for which the word "fall" was listed as part of the chief complaint.
