The stress-strain relation in a transversely isotropic (TI) material is described by five independent parameters. In the incompressible limit, only three parameters are required to describe shear wave propagation. Existing material parameterization models are not ideal for the analysis of wave propagation in the nearly incompressible TI (NITI) regime due to difficult-to-interpret parameters, complicated forms of the stiffness matrix elements, or the lack of five independent parameters.

Nightingale, who is often remembered as "The Lady with the Lamp", holds a complex identity within modern narratives that is celebrated for her pioneering contributions to nursing and public health, even if there are some disagreements about her, given the colonialist setting that may have shaped some of her opinions and decisions. This research employed CDA to analyze 25 podcasts and 18 YouTube videos, which were systematically included according to a priori inclusion criteria.

Methods: A DNN was trained using co-registered ARFI, SWEI, MF, and B-mode data obtained in men with biopsy-confirmed prostate cancer prior to radical prostatectomy (15 subjects, comprising 980,620 voxels). Data were obtained using a commercial scanner that was modified to allow user control of the acoustic beam sequences and provide access to the raw image data.
Background: Liver resection is a critical surgical procedure for treating various hepatic pathologies. Minimally invasive approaches have gradually gained importance, and, in recent years, the introduction of robotic surgery has transformed the surgical landscape, providing potential advantages such as enhanced precision and stable ergonomic vision. Among robotic techniques, the single-site approach has garnered increasing attention due to its potential to minimize surgical trauma and improve cosmetic outcomes.

The purpose of this study was to assess the publication record during medical school of students who ultimately matched in RO, to characterize the source(s) of their RO mentorship relative to other specialties.
Methods And Materials: We performed web-based searches to identify manuscripts published during medical school (defined as being published from January 2016 to December 2019) for all RO residents with postgraduate year 2 status in 2020 to 2021.

As a component of these evaluations, live collected from Beijing and Yantai in China were reared in containment in the U.S.

However, identification requires expert determination and clinician time to report. We developed a deep learning model that can automatically identify SEC.

This systematic review summarizes the most crucial evidence regarding the fatal toxicity of sodium nitrite. It identifies gaps and differences in the diagnostic forensic approaches and the detection methods of sodium nitrite intoxication.

As the surgical procedure is complex and Robotic-Assisted Surgery (RAS) may be particularly suitable in this setting, the aim of this study is to evaluate the potential benefits of RAS in III-IV HC in terms of post-operative outcomes.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review using the PRISMA checklist for article selection.
Purpose: Mentored medical student (MS) research opportunities in radiation oncology (RO) provide in-depth exposure to the specialty and may promote greater interest in a career in RO. Many radiation oncologists conduct research; however, the extent to which they directly engage MSs in their research is unknown. The purpose of this study was to characterize MS authorship in American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) journals.

In this work, we evaluated the effect of muscle passive stretch on shear wave propagation along and across the muscle fibers using a rotational 3D shear wave elasticity imaging system and automatic analysis methods. We imaged the vastus lateralis of 10 healthy volunteers, modulating passive stretch by imaging at 8 different knee flexion angles (controlled by a BioDex system).

However, only a small portion of patients infected progress to cancer, suggesting that other factors other than HPV may play a role. Some studies have investigated HPV infection in colorectal cancer (CRC) with discordant results; moreover, the role of HPV in CRC development is still unknown.

Its incidence increases with age, reaching 20-25 yearly cases per million individuals in people over 70 years. A growing importance has been given to the need of a multidisciplinary approach (MDA) for the management of patients with CML.

Infection-related hearing loss disproportionately affects underserved communities yet can be prevented with early identification and treatment. This study evaluates the utility of machine learning in automating tympanogram classifications of the middle ear to facilitate layperson-guided tympanometry in resource-constrained communities.

The combined ARFI/SWEI sequence uses closely spaced push beams across the lateral field of view and simultaneously tracks both on-axis (within the region of excitation) and off-axis (laterally offset from the excitation) after each push beam. Using a large number of push beams across the lateral field of view enables the collection of higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) shear wave data to reconstruct the SWEI volume than is typically acquired.

Cutaneous angiosarcoma (cAS) is a rare and aggressive subtype of soft tissue sarcoma with poor prognosis and suboptimal treatment options. Clinical presentation is variable, but cAS often arises from the head and neck. The most widely accepted current approach, surgical excision with adjuvant radiotherapy, is associated with high recurrence rates and can leave patients with profound disfigurement.

Materials And Methods: We compared data of all patients who had undergone MIS for AP with a similar group of patients with ON patients between January 2012 and June 2021 using a case-matched methodology based on AP severity and patient characteristics. Inhospital and midterm follow-up variables, including quality-of-life assessment, were evaluated.
Introduction: There is limited data available regarding the role of surgery in the treatment of retroperitoneal sarcoma (RPS) recurrences. We herein report the short- and mid-term outcomes of patients who underwent surgical treatment of RPS recurrences at two Italian centers over a 15-years' experience.
Materials And Methods: From January 2005 to January 2020, 33 patients underwent surgical treatment of isolated locally recurrent RPS (LR group), locally recurrent RPS associated with the presence of distant recurrence (LR + DM group), and distant-only recurrent RPS (DM group).
