Background And Objectives: We are reporting the performance of HPV self-sample collected by a novel kit in comparison with clinician collected cervical sample for HPV testing for cervical cancer screening.

Methods: Consenting, eligible women aged 25 to 60, with a positive cervical cancer screening test report in the past one year but without any prior treatment for cervical abnormalities were enrolled in the study. Each woman provided 2 samples for the HPV test (vaginal self-sample collected with the CERVICHECKTM, an indigenous kit from India and cervical sample collected by the clinician).

Objective: Adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with chronic medical conditions often face significant challenges while transitioning from pediatric to adult healthcare (healthcare transition, HCT). Although some guidelines exist on how to facilitate this process, the specific role of psychologists in promoting successful HCT is not clearly defined. In this topical review, we propose a conceptual framework integrating the role of psychology within HCT.

Promoting a foundation of resilience in older adults: pilot trial of a strengths-based positive psychology intervention for chronic low back pain.

Introduction: Chronic low back pain (cLBP) is a global public health problem and a leading cause of disability among older adults. Recent years have seen a burgeoning interest in promoting resilience in individuals with chronic pain; however, therapeutic strategies that focus on positive psychological resources and individual strengths are understudied among older adult populations. The aim of this study was to examine the feasibility and acceptability of a resilience-promoting intervention among older adults with cLBP, and to assess preliminary treatment effects on pain severity, pain interference, and quality of life.

An unprecedented metal-free synthesis of fused quinoxaline 1,5-disubstituted-[1,4]-diazepine hybrids have been reported under mild conditions through a domino intermolecular SAr followed by an internal nucleophile-triggered intramolecular SAr pathway. Our strategy offers the flexibility for the introduction of a broad variety of functionalities at the N-1 position of fused diazepine moiety by using suitable diamine tails to design structurally diverse scaffolds. The DNA binding properties of representative quinoxaline diazepine hybrids were studied using UV-vis absorbance and EtBr displacement assay and were found to be governed by the functionalities at the N-1 position.

Rapunzel Syndrome in a Teenage Girl: A Case Report.

Rapunzel syndrome is the condition when trichobezoars extend into the small bowel, leading to various complications including bowel obstruction, and perforation due to pressure necrosis. We present an interesting case of trichobezoar in a 15-year-old female patient, who presented with abdominal pain for one month duration.

Isolated Ascending Colon Gangrene With Persistent Ascending Mesocolon: A Case Report.

Persistent mesocolon is a rare embryological anomaly that occurs when the primitive dorsal mesocolon fails to fuse with the posterior lateral parietal peritoneum allowing for volvulus of the cecum and colon. In malrotation of the gut, the normal rotation of the embryonic gut is arrested or disturbed during in-utero development. To our knowledge, this is the first case of isolated colon gangrene with persistent ascending mesocolon to be reported, although earlier studies have documented cases of persistent mesocolon of both ascending and descending mesocolon.
