View Article and Find Full Text PDFPurpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of intrauterine infusion of autologous blood cell derivative (ABCD) on endometrial thickness and pregnancy outcomes in a group of patients who underwent IVF with recurrent implantation failure (RIF) and who had either a normal endometrium or thin endometrium.
Methods: This retrospective study included 63 patients who experienced RIF at the Department of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, KMC, Manipal, between January 2021 and March 2024 and who received three doses of intrauterine ABCD infusion to prepare the endometrium for frozen embryo transfer (FET).
Results: We enrolled 63 RIF patients, 30 with a normal endometrium (NEM) and 33 with a thin endometrium (TEM).
Neuropeptide Y (NPY), an endogenous peptide composed of 36 amino acids, has been investigated as a potential therapeutic agent for neurodegenerative diseases due to its neuroprotective attributes. This study investigated the neuroprotective effects of NPY in a mouse model of glaucoma characterized by elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) and progressive retinal ganglion cell degeneration. Method: PLGA (A) as the polymer, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) (B) as the stabilizer and stirring speed (C) as independent variables were used. TFN-NPs were prepared using single emulsion-solvent evaporation.
Context: Thin endometrium during the frozen embryo transfer cycles leads to cycle cancellation. The embryo transfer cycle getting deferred is an unpleasant experience for the patients and the fertility specialist.
Aims: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Autologous Blood Cell Derivative (ABCD) growth factor concentrate to obtain an optimal thickness of endometrium for embryo transfer during IVF treatments, where rapid regeneration is crucial for the expected therapeutic outcome.

The emergence of new symptoms and dysregulation of multiple organs resulted in high disease severity during the second wave which led to increased difficulties in understanding the molecular mechanisms behind the disease pathology. Exploring the underlying factors can help to relieve the burden on the medical communities to some extent by prioritizing the patients and, at the same time, opening avenues for improved treatments.

The paranasal sinuses are hollowed, air-filled cavities surrounding the nasal cavity. Many pathological processes affect the sinuses, but inflammatory conditions are the commonest, even in asymptomatic patients who undergo head imaging for other indications showing one or more abnormalities of the sinuses. Our research aims to determine the prevalence of incidental paranasal sinuses abnormalities seen among patients who undergo head CT scanning.

As scanty data is available on the prevalence of MBL, the present study is being undertaken to determine the prevalence, antibacterial sensitivity patterns, and molecular characterization of MβL associated resistant genes in gram-negative bacteria isolated from ocular infections.
Material And Methods: At a tertiary eye care center in south India, 359 gram-negative pathogens, 200 isolates from eye infections, and 159 isolates from normal flora of the eye were studied.

Methods: Data from 18,600 people screened for COVID-19 in Mumbai during the outbreak's initial phase, March 7 to June 30, 2020, were used to assess risk factors associated with COVID-19 using the odds ratio analysis.
The altered molecular proteins and pathways in response to COVID-19 infection are still unclear. Here, we performed a comprehensive proteomics-based investigation of nasopharyngeal swab samples from patients with COVID-19 to study the host response by employing simple extraction strategies. Few of the host proteins such as interleukin-6, L-lactate dehydrogenase, C-reactive protein, Ferritin, and aspartate aminotransferase were found to be upregulated only in COVID-19-positive patients using targeted multiple reaction monitoring studies.
