FLT can be very invasive, causing complete laryngotracheal separation, leading to a non-functioning larynx. We report a 39-year-old Indian woman with diabetes who presented to the emergency department with a sore throat, hoarseness, dysphagia, and stridor for two days.

Here, we report that PCBP1's DNA binding sites are enriched at transcription start sites and that by binding to promoter regions, PCBP1 regulates transcription in addition to splicing and translation. At PCBP1 target genes, we show that PCBP1 interacts with several RNA/DNA hybrid (R-loop) associated G-quadruplex resolving helicases.

Here, we report that post-translational modification of FXR1 enhances the binding with mRNAs and is involved in cancer cell growth and proliferation. Independent point mutations in arginine residues of FXR1's nuclear export signal (R386 and R388) and RGG (R453, R455 and R459) domains prevent it from binding to RNAs that form G-quadruplex (G4) RNA structures.

Arteria lusoria (AL) is a rare embryological variant that may have variable presentation ranging from asymptomatic to respiratory, abdominal, or both. Increasing incidence of radial access for coronary angiogram may lead to the incidental diagnosis of AL. Knowledge about this anatomical variation is essential for cardiologists, interventional radiologists, otorhinolaryngologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and primary physicians.

The diversity of microorganisms in these biofilms plays a critical role in their integrity and protection against external biotic and abiotic factors. Compared to single-species biofilms, mixed-species biofilms are more resistant to various stresses, including antimicrobials like sanitizers.

The objective of this study was to characterize the bacterial communities using 16S rRNA sequencing in freshly extended boar semen samples and relate the prevalence and diversity of the microbial population to sperm quality parameters 1) between studs, 2) between pooled and single-sire doses, and 3) over a 5-day period. Eight single-sire (n = 4 per stud) and eight pooled (n = 4 per stud) non-frozen extended semen doses were obtained from two boar studs (A and B).
