Crab shell-based hierarchical micro/meso-porous carbon as an efficient nano-adsorbent for CO/CH separation: experiments and DFT modeling.

In this study, we prepared a range of nanoporous carbon nano-adsorbents from crab shells (CSs) using KOH activation and evaluated their suitability for selective adsorption of CO/CH gas mixtures. We employed various characterization techniques, including XRD, FT-IR, SEM, Raman, TGA, and BET analysis, to assess the properties of these nano-adsorbents. Our investigation includes the systematic study of various parameters, such as activation time, activation temperature, and the KOH to CS activating agent ratio.

Mental health status in healthcare workers during COVID-19 pandemic: An online questionnaire study in the southwest Iran.

Methods: This study is an online cross-sectional study conducted on healthcare professionals at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Science from November 25, 2020, to March 30 2021. PHQ9 and Kessler collected outcome variables of depression, anxiety, and psychological distress questionnaires.

Effects of brief cognitive behavioral therapy on mental health in substance-related disorder: a randomized controlled trial.

Background & Objectives: Population and aging are major contributing factors influencing the increase in substance use disorder (SUD), which in itself affects mental health, particularly anxiety and depression. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and pharmacotherapy co-treatment are considered the gold standard for the treatment of SUD. Thus, the present study has been carried out to investigate the efficacy of brief CBT on the general health of opioid users.

Characterization of active Cerish fructan-sumac extract composite films: Physical, mechanical, and antioxidant properties.

Comparison of the efficacy of venlafaxine and bupropion in the treatment of depressive episode in patients with bipolar II disorder.

Objective: Depressive disorders are common among those with bipolar disorder II (BD II) and may necessitate the use of antidepressants. Because of the lack of quality evidence, there is controversy about the use of antidepressants in BD II. The aim was to compare the efficacy of venlafaxine and bupropion in the treatment of depressive episode in BD II.

Rheological and thermal properties of reinforced monoglyceride-carnauba wax oleogels.

Background: Oleogels can be used in the food industry to reduce the consumption of solid fat in the human diet and diminish some of the industrial-technological issues of using oil instead of fat. Regarding the structural weakness of neat monoglyceride oleogel and the waxy mouthfeel of pure carnauba wax oleogel, as a result of the high melting and crystallization points, the present study aimed to diminish these defects.

Results: Carnauba wax (CBW) was used as a co-gelator with distilled monoglyceride (DMG) at different weight ratios (100:0, 85:15, 70:30, 55:45, 40:60, and 0:100) (DMG: CBW) and two total gelator concentrations (50 and 100 g kg ) to improve the DMG oleogel characteristics.

Determination of the Association between Perceived Stigma and Delay in Help-Seeking Behavior of Women with Breast Cancer.

One of the leading causes of death in patients with breast cancer is delays in help-seeking, which is influenced by various factors, including social factors such as cancer stigma. This study aimed to determine the relationship between perceived stigma and delay in seeking help for women with breast cancer. In this cross-sectional study, 140 women with breast cancer referred to Besat Clinic in Rasht, Iran, were included.

Hybrid MIL-101(Cr)@MIL-53(Al) composite for carbon dioxide capture from biogas.

In this study, hybrids of nanoporous MIL-101(Cr) and MIL-53(Al) were synthesized using a hydrothermal method for various time periods, ranging from 8 to 40 h. The prepared materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and elemental analysis, and their specific surface areas were measured by N sorption at 77 K using the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method. To investigate the practical application of these materials, the pure carbon dioxide and methane adsorption capacities of the samples were determined using the volumetric method.
