Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of abutment material, alveolar bone density, and occlusal forces on stress distribution around maxillary anterior implants.
Materials And Methods: An study was conducted. The maxillary anterior implant was modeled using a three-dimensional finite element model in D2 and D3 bones with three different abutment materials: titanium, zirconia, and poly-ether-ether ketone (PEEK).
Background: The physiologically mobile natural tooth and rigidly fixed dental implant causes different distribution of stress when connected in prosthesis and nonrigid connector compensates this. Understanding of biomechanical behavior is necessary for an adequate choice and construction of this type of rehabilitation. However, there has been insufficient research focusing on different location and type of the nonrigid connector related with the prognosis of both implant and the tooth.

Purpose: This study aimed to compare the viscoelastic properties and antimicrobial activity of a soft liner with and without silver zeolite for a period of 4 weeks.
Materials And Methods: Thirty edentulous patients wearing complete dental prostheses were selected. A uniform space was created in the intaglio surface of their maxillary prosthesis, and a soft liner without silver zeolite (control material: S) was applied.
Prosthetic rehabilitation of extensive maxillectomy defects are exigent given the difficulties faced due to loss of palatal bone,teeth and surrounding supporting tissues which help in retention, support and stability of the prosthesis. An interim maxillary obturator is a prosthesis which is made after surgical resection of a portion or all of one or both maxilla where initial healing is completed. Frequently many or all teeth in the defect area are replaced by this prosthesis.

This preliminary study investigated the effect of a mandibular advancement device on upper airway collapsibility in seven patients with obstructive sleep apnea. Overnight polysomnography and dynamic magnetic resonance imaging were performed at the retropalatal and retroglossal levels, and the apnea-hypopnea Index(AHI), anteroposterior and lateral distances, and airway volumes were recorded. The tests were repeated following a 3-month period of wearing a customized mandibular advancement device.

As a routine, unless clinical findings suggest presence of remnant tooth structures, or the patient presents himself with symptoms, the radiographic investigations are overlooked.
