A series of Dy ions doped NaBaBO phosphors with different dopant concentration was synthesized by solid state reaction. The phase purity was checked by X-ray diffraction analysis and the functional groups present in as prepared phosphors was investigated with the help of FTIR spectral analysis. Under 386 nm excitation, the photoluminescence spectra exhibit three emission bands around 482 nm, 574 nm and 664 nm due to F→H (J = 15, 13, 11) transions respectively.

Ten medicinal plants used as ingredients of folklore and Ayurvedic medicine belonging to the Malnad Kerala region of South India, were analysed for concentrations of trace elements Fe, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, and Pb using the Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) technique. The soil from the root area of these medicinal plants was also analysed, and the soil to plant transfer factor (TF) of the elements was estimated. Although the predominant component of acute allograft rejection is the T-cells, the milieu is not devoid of other inflammatory cells including plasma cells, eosinophils, and histiocytes.
