Pediatric cancer survivors are at increased risk for psychological distress. We sought to understand the severity and symptoms' co-occurrence among pediatric survivors compared to controls by rating both self- and parent-reported symptomatology. Forty survivors (22 males; mean age at study time: 12.

These results will be of use for the optical characterization of CR-39, as well as in investigations of the chemical modifications of the polymer caused by ultraviolet (UV) exposure. A Varian Cary 5000 was used to perform spectroscopy on several different thicknesses of CR-39.

Materials And Methods: From a sample of patients aged 7-21 years, we gathered 100 lateral cephalograms, 20 for each of the five CVM stages. For each cephalogram, we traced cervical vertebrae C2, C3 and C4 by hand using a lead pencil and an acetate sheet and dedicated software.
Introduction: Facial growth changes the position of the jaws (in particular vertical position of the maxilla and antero-posterior position of the mandible) and may, in turn, modify the position of the tongue and the hyoid bone, thus, generating modifications of the upper airway space. In the present paper, effects on upper airway space and tongue position of a new functional appliance, the swallowing occlusal contact intercept appliance (SOCIA) have been investigated.
Materials And Methods: Retrospective cephaolmetric study of twenty-four children (mean age 9.
A Thomson parabola ion spectrometer has been designed for use at the Multiterawatt (MTW) laser facility at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics (LLE) at the University of Rochester. This device uses parallel electric and magnetic fields to deflect particles of a given mass-to-charge ratio onto parabolic curves on the detector plane. Once calibrated, the position of the ions on the detector plane can be used to determine the particle energy.
