Methods: PubMed, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library are systematically reviewed for VS tumor control 10 years after SRS and compared to a historical cohort of untreated VS (primary risk analysis). Subgroups of VS limited by size and observed growth are compared to the untreated cohort (secondary analysis).

Objectives: Chronic otitis media (COM) is a prevalent condition affecting auditory function. Ossiculoplasty is a known treatment strategy, but its effectiveness concerning the presence of cholesteatoma has not been extensively studied.
Methods: We conducted a multicentre study involving 153 patients diagnosed with COM without cholesteatoma (ncCOM) and with cholesteatoma (cCOM).
Pembrolizumab (an anti-PD1 antibody) alone or combined with chemotherapy represented the standard of care for advanced non-oncogene addicted non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. These therapies induced early modifications of the immune response impacting the clinical outcome. Identifying early changes in the immune system was critical to directing the therapeutic choice and improving the clinical outcome.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFWe here describe a rare case of a 26-year-old male patient, presenting to our hospital after a motorcycle-car accident for the surgical management of long-bone fractures to the tibia and femur and shoulder dislocation and undergoing orthopedic surgery, who postoperatively developed seizure, coma, and respiratory failure due to a cerebral fat embolism. After some hours after the surgery, a loss of consciousness was described by caregivers, and the ICU team was alerted, and the patient was admitted to ICU. Intracranial hemorrhage and stroke were subsequently excluded and, finally, a whole-body computed tomography angiography scan and head magnetic resonance imaging showed lesions consistent with cerebral fat embolism.

Our target systems show strong imprints of precession whereas current searches have nonoptimal sensitivity in detecting them. After measuring the sensitivity improvement brought by our search over standard spin-aligned searches, we report the detection of 30 gravitational wave events already discovered in the latest version of the Gravitational Wave Transient Catalog.

Two common types of cardiovascular disease are hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) which occur from changes to sarcomere contractile mechanisms and activity. Actin amino acid substitutions R312C and R312H have been found in HCM and DCM patients, respectively.
