Disentangling the contributions from fluctuations in the nuclear overlap size (geometrical component) and other sources at a fixed size (intrinsic component) remains a challenge. Introduction: Employment rates for people aged 65 and over have been changing rapidly in many countries, but little is known about associations of employment status with mental health status and their stability over time. We therefore investigated mental health associations with employment status in 65-74-year-olds in three national samples.
Methods: The data for these analyses were drawn from three national surveys of psychiatric morbidity among adults in England living in private households carried out in 2000, 2007, and 2014.

We hypothesise that modifying the PA active layer with hydroxyl-functionalised multi-wall carbon nanotubes (f-MWCNTs) will enhance the water flux of the FO membrane while maximising salt rejection. Method: A cohort of patients receiving mental healthcare on 30th June 2012 was assembled from a large mental health records database covering a south London catchment area. Recorded loneliness within the preceding 2 years was extracted using natural language processing and outcomes were measured between 30th June 2012 until 30th December 2019, except for survival which applied a censoring point of 6th December 2020 according to data available at the time of extraction.
Denitrifying woodchip bioreactors (DBRs) are an established nitrate mitigation technology, but uncertainty remains on their viability for phosphorus (P) removal due to inconsistent source-sink behaviour in field trials. We investigated whether iron (Fe) redox cycling could be the missing link needed to explain P dynamics in these systems. A pilot-scale DBR (Aotearoa New Zealand) was monitored for the first two drainage seasons (2017-2018), with supplemental in-field measurements of reduced solutes (Fe, HS/HS) and their conjugate oxidised species (Fe/SO) made in 2021 to constrain within-reactor redox gradients.

To identify the focal and spatially restricted alterations in the transcriptional pathways and reveal novel therapeutic targets, we performed a spatial transcriptomic analysis of the areas of focal myocyte disarray compared to areas of normal tissue using a commercially available platform (GeoMx, nanoString). We analyzed surgical myectomy tissue from four patients with HCM and the control interventricular septum tissue from two unused organ donor hearts that were free of cardiovascular disease.

To our knowledge this is the first such investigation, although attention to dysglycaemia in SMI is an increasing priority in mental healthcare.
Design: The study was primarily descriptive in nature, seeking to ascertain the frequency of HbA1c recording in the mental healthcare sector for people following first SMI diagnosis.
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common inherited cardiovascular disorder affecting 1 in 500 people in the general population. Characterized by asymmetric left ventricular hypertrophy, cardiomyocyte disarray and cardiac fibrosis, HCM is a highly complex disease with heterogenous clinical presentation, onset and complication. While mutations in sarcomere genes can account for a substantial proportion of familial cases of HCM, 40%-50% of HCM patients do not carry such sarcomere variants and the causal mutations for their diseases remain elusive.
