Background: Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) missense mutations occur at a frequency of 10%-15% in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA). IDH1 mutations result in accumulation of (R)-2-hydroxyglutarate, an oncometabolite that leads to DNA hypermethylation and impairment of homologous recombination (HR). Impairment of HR results in a "BRCAness" phenotype which may confer sensitivity to poly(ADP ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibition.

The Ganga river is one of the vital river systems in India, and it nurtures a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna. In the present study, screening of potential toxic metal elements (Cd, Cr, Mn, Cu, Pb, Ni, Zn, and As) was undertaken in 31 food fishes, especially the small indigenous fishes (SIFs) from the lower stretch of river Ganga by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS).

DNA damage in neurons increases with chronological age and accelerates in neurodegenerative disorders, resulting in cellular and systemic dysregulation. Distinct DNA damage response strategies have evolved with a host of polymerases.

However, the importance of METTL3 in human placentation remains largely unexplored. Here, we show that a fine balance of METTL3 function in trophoblast cells is essential for successful human placentation.

Individuals with neurogenic bladder often require single-use ICs to urinate, but urinary tract infection (UTI) is a common cause of morbidity for IC users. Safer no-touch catheters are not easily affordable, and the Aurie System attempts to provide no-touch catheters at a fraction of the price by allowing for standardized and safe IC reuse.

Our results reveal that the presence of both Li and Gd makes it sensitive to both gamma and thermal neutrons. The applicability of LiAlO:Gd for beta, gamma, and neutrons in both thermally stimulated and optically stimulated modes has been verified by extensive experiments followed by kinetic parametric evaluation with theoretical calculations.

In response, students often use extramural resources such as commercial or collaborative question banks; however, these options are often expensive and cannot be aligned with the content of each school's unique curriculum. In addition, students need feedback on their learning in a manner that parallels the format of summative assessments.

Mycobacterium indicus pranii was originally developed as a leprosy vaccine but later has been found effective against Leishmania donovani infection. To extend our earlier study, here we reported the immunotherapeutic modulation of the splenic and circulatory neutrophils in favour of hosts as neutrophils actually serve as the pro-parasitic portable shelter to extend the Leishmania infection specifically during the early entry into the hosts' circulation.

Radiologists find the manual method for lesion detection in CT very challenging and tedious. Previously solo deep learning (SDL) was tried but they had low to moderate-level performance.

Cycling of the NMC pouch cells indicated the potential for maximum lithium recovery at a 5C charging rate. The anodes extracted from discharged and disassembled cells were submerged in deionized water, resulting in lithium dissolution and graphite recovery from the copper foils.

CARs use high-affinity antigen-binding domains and costimulatory domains to induce T cell activation but can only react against target cells with relatively high amounts of antigen. TCRs have a much lower affinity for their antigens but can react against target cells displaying only a few antigen molecules.

Anth and Pyr when exposed to sunlight can be photoactivated and have harmful effects on aquatic organisms. A comparative analysis was carried out to assess the acute, sub-chronic, genetic and biochemical toxicity of Anth and Pyr in F.

This study aimed to focus on the antibiotic usage patterns in COVID-19 patients in Bangladesh.
Methods: This prospective observational study was performed from July 2020 to June 2021 in five tertiary hospitals in Bangladesh.
In recent years, dysprosium macrocycle single-molecule magnets (SMMs) have received increasing attention due to their excellent air/thermal stability, strong magnetic anisotropy, and rigid molecular skeleton. However, they usually display fast zero-field quantum tunneling of the magnetization (QTM) rate, severely hindering their data storage applications. Herein, we report the design, synthesis, and characterization of an air-stable monodecker didysprosium macrocycle integrating strong single-ion anisotropy, near-perfect local crystal field (CF) symmetry, and efficient exchange bias.

In order to normalise the expression of dysregulated host genes upon virus infection, analysis of stable reference housekeeping genes using quantitative real-time-PCR (qRT-PCR) is necessary. In the present study, healthy and African swine fever virus (ASFV) infected porcine tissues were assessed for the expression stability of five widely used housekeeping genes (HPRT1, B2M, 18 S rRNA, PGK1 and H3F3A) as reference genes using standard algorithm.

Background: Although the dynamics of the middle ear (ME) have been modeled since the mid-twentieth century, only recently stochastic approaches started to be applied. In this study, a stochastic model of the ME was utilized to predict the ME dynamics under both healthy and pathological conditions.
Methods: The deterministic ME model is based on a lumped-parameter representation, while the stochastic model was developed using a probabilistic non-parametric approach that randomizes the deterministic model.
