Background: Leishmaniasis is a zoonotic disease and Iran is one of the ten countries with has the highest estimated cases of leishmaniasis. This study aimed to determine the time trend of cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) incidence using the ARIMA model in Shahroud County, Semnan, Iran.
Methods: In this study, 725 patients with leishmaniasis were selected in the Health Centers of Shahroud during 2009-2020.
Introduction: This study is the first to describe the genetic diversity of C. trachomatis strains derived from patients with signs and symptoms of genitourinary infections admitted to Tehran health centers and hospitals using the high-resolution genotyping method, multilocus variable-number tandem-repeat analysis with ompA sequencing (MLVA)-ompA.
Methods: One hundred and sixty-seven urogenital specimens were collected from October 2019 to July 2020.
We present a single centre study describing the effect of awake prone position (PP) on oxygenation and clinical outcomes in spontaneously breathing patients with novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Between 1st March and 30th April 2020, forty eight of 138 patients managed outside of the critical care unit with facemask oxygen, high flow nasal oxygen (HFNO) or continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), underwent PP. Prone position was associated with significant improvement in oxygenation, lower ICU admission, tracheal intubation, and shorter ICU length of stay.

Surgical rib fixation has become a more commonplace procedure to improve chest wall mechanics, pain, and function. The aim of this study was to characterise the epidemiology and long-term functional outcomes of chest trauma patients who underwent rib fixation in a major trauma centre (MTC).

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance in and associated molecular epidemiological studies are crucial to ascertain the spread of antibiotic-resistant and developing the local treatment guidelines. This study was performed to determine the antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) and molecular epidemiology of isolates in Tehran, Iran.
