Objective: To evaluate the recovery of early urinary continence in patients with prostate cancer using a suprapubic catheter during Retzius-sparing robotic-assistant laparoscopic prostatectomy.

Patients And Methods: From January 2018 to January 2019, 223 patients diagnosed with prostate cancer who underwent Retzius-sparing robotic-assistant laparoscopic prostatectomy in Diakonie Klinikum Stuttgart were involved in our study. From January 2018 to June 2018, patients (112 cases) only had an indwelling urinary catheter during Retzius-sparing robotic-assistant laparoscopic prostatectomy, while from July 2018 to January 2019, patients (111 cases) were offered an extra suprapubic catheter during operation.

Objective: The aim of the study was to compare the oncological and functional outcomes in localized prostate cancer patients who received non-whole-gland high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) with those in patients who received whole-gland HIFU therapy.

Patients And Methods: Eighty-six patients from September 2012 to January 2017 in our center were retrospectively analyzed. Oncological outcomes included histological absence of prostate cancer, biochemical disease-free survival (BDFS) as well as the absence of lesions suspected for harboring prostate cancer in multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI).

Objective: To examine the inter- and intra-operator repeatability of manual placement of callipers in the assessment of basic biometric measurements and to compare the results to an automated calliper placement system.

Methods: Stored ultrasound images of 95 normal fetuses between 19 and 25 weeks' gestation were used. Five operators (two experts, one resident and two students) were asked to measure the BPD, OFD and FL two times manually and automatically.

A technique for continuous production of solutions containing hyperpolarized (129)Xe is explored for MRI applications. The method is based on hollow fiber membranes which inhibit the formation of foams and bubbles. A systematic analysis of various carrier agents for hyperpolarized (129)Xe has been carried out, which are applicable as contrast agents for in vivo MRI.

Distant dipolar fields among nuclear spins on macroscopic scales in the gas phase are reported for the first time. Their observation via interatomic multiple quantum coherences requires high nuclear spin polarization corresponding to spin temperatures of a few mK, which is generated in laser-polarized 3He, and proper control of the gas diffusion through a heavier buffer gas. This combination of physics at low and ambient temperatures opens up new ways of studying the relative translational diffusion of atoms and of gas diffusion in structures with a large range of length scales.
