Introduction: Globally, stark inequities exist in access to HIV treatment and prevention. The eastern European and central Asian region is experiencing the sharpest rise in new HIV acquisition and deaths in the world, with low rates of treatment and prevention services, especially for key and vulnerable populations who face a range of human rights-related barriers to HIV prevention and treatment.

Methods: An implementation learning evaluation approach was used to examine the implementation of the Breaking Down Barriers initiative targeting key and vulnerable populations in Ukraine.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 caused major disruptions of societal functions, including health care. Patients receiving medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) depend on receiving daily treatment and face a risk of withdrawal in case of medication supply disruption. MOUD are banned in Russia, making treatment continuation impossible in temporarily occupied areas.

Purpose: Damage of the knee cartilage is a common condition manifesting itself mainly by pain and/or swelling that may substantially reduce the quality of life while ultimately leading to osteoarthritis in affected patients. Here, we aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of cultured autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) attached to the 3D Chondrotissue® scaffold by autologous blood plasma coagulation (BiCure® ortho MSCp) in the treatment of knee cartilage defects.

Osteoid osteoma is a primary benign bone tumor with rare intra-articular occurrence. Our case report describes a rare case of a 21-year-old man with long-term severe pain in the right hip region caused by osteoid osteoma managed by arthroscopic excision. The clinical finding of pains and a limited range of motion did not correlate with the normal plain X-ray finding.

Objective: We assessed the clinical utility and accuracy of real-time continuous glucose monitoring (rtCGM) (Dexcom G6) in managing diabetes patients with severe COVID-19 infection following admission to the intensive care unit (ICU).

Methods: We present retrospective analysis of masked rtCGM in 30 patients with severe COVID-19. rtCGM was used during the first 24 hours for comparison with arterial-line point of care (POC) values, where clinicians utilized rtCGM data to adjust insulin therapy in patients if rtCGM values were within 20% of point-of-care (POC) values during the masked period.
