Aim: of the study was to assess advantages and disadvantages of existing measures of adequacy blood pressure (BP) control and their appropriateness in Russian population of patients with arterial hypertension (AH).

Material And Methods: Two indicators were studied with the help of American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association methodology (ACC/AHA, 2005): Russian AH registry indicator "Achieving and maintenance of the goal BP" and indicator "Optimal AH treatment" adopted from UK and US measures for the data of Russian AH registry. Each indicator was calculated in the same group comprising 37 827 patients with diagnosis AH.

Aim: To study clinical characteristics of non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTEACS) and to assess the quality of medical health in patients with this condition who were treated in the regional vascular centers and primary vascular units from 48 subjects of the Russian Federation in 2009-2012.

Materials And Methods: The medical records of 68 467 patients with the verified diagnosis of NSTEACS, which were entered in the ACS Register database on January 1, 2009, to January 1,2013, were analyzed. The investigation included data on patients aged at least 18 years at admission to hospital with a presumptive diagnosis of ACS, myocardial infarction, or unstable angina pectoris in the case histories.

Aim: To compare clinical efficacy of standard outpatient follow-up of hypertensive patients with efficacy of such follow-up with application of internet techniques and mobile telephone systems (ITMTS).

Material And Methods: Two groups of hypertensive patients were examined: group 1 (n=97, 45% females, age 49 +/- 11 years) on one-year ITMTS follow-up; group 2 (n=102, 50% females, age 51 +/- 11 years) on standard one-year follow-up. Clinical efficacy was assessed by the rate of achievement and maintenance of target blood pressure, dynamics of modifiable risk factors (smoking, obesity) for a year.

The safety of combined administration of ultralow doses of antigens to endothelial NO synthase (impaza) and nitrates for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in CHD patients was evaluated in an open non-comparative clinical trial. The efficiency and safety of impaza and the possibility of its administration to patients receiving nitrates were demonstrated.
