Myocarditis, a life-threatening disease that can result in cardiac arrest and sudden cardiac death, has garnered significant attention in recent years. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the management of myocarditis-related sudden cardiac death, encompassing its pathology, diagnostic methods, therapeutic strategies, preventive measures, prognostic factors, and risk stratification. Additionally, the review highlights current challenges and future directions in this field.

Potential roles of quorum quenching in microbial aggregates during wastewater treatment.

Quorum sensing-regulated microbial behaviors often negatively impact wastewater treatment, leading to issues such as biofouling in membrane bioreactors, filamentous bulking, and resistance gene transfer. Quorum quenching, which counteracts quorum sensing, offers a promising strategy to mitigate these problems. This review aims to highlight overlooked perspectives for its application in microbial aggregates during wastewater treatment.

Ratiometric sensor based on Ag-mediated luminescence of Tb-DNA complexes for visual detection of 4-aminophenol.

Development of accurate, convenient and portable methods for monitoring 4-aminophenol (4-AP) is extremely important because of its strong toxicity. Here, a ratiometric fluorescence sensor based on Ag-enhanced luminescence of Tb-DNA complexes has been presented for the detection of 4-AP. The luminescence of Tb-DNA complexes is enhanced about 30 times by Ag, which can trigger energy transfer from DNA to Tb more efficiently.
