Article Synopsis
  • - High-resolution continuous-wave laser spectroscopy was utilized to investigate the energy-level structure and electric field effects on nitric oxide (NO) molecules in high Rydberg states, using a three-photon excitation technique.
  • - Experiments focused on Rydberg states with principal quantum numbers 22 and 32, with findings compared against numerical models to analyze various quantum defects and decay rates.
  • - This research enhances laser spectroscopy of Rydberg states in small atmospheric molecules and paves the way for future studies on Rydberg NO molecules in electrostatic traps and advanced trace gas detection methods.

Background: Health System Performance Assessments (HSPA) and analyses of unwarranted regional variation in health care both aim at identifying strengths and weaknesses of health systems to improve care. Applying HSPA's conceptual approach of interrelated health system dimensions (e.g.

Background: Healthcare in Germany is not always needs-based and has considerable potential for optimization. Internal medicine (IM) plays a special role in the German healthcare system due to its long tradition. Against this background, a look at the optimization potential to achieve better quality and higher efficiency care seems particularly relevant.

Introduction: Since the World Health Report in 2000, Health System Performance Assessment (HSPA) has been established as a tool for the evaluation and evidence-informed governance of health systems. So far, the population perspective has not been integrated into HSPA in a systematic manner, although people's experiences and expectations are of great importance to improve health systems and especially to strengthen patient-centered care. Therefore, this study aims to conduct an HSPA of Germany's health system from the population's perspective covering all eight goals of WHO's Health Systems Framework, and to identify strengths and needs for improvement.

After having traveled to California in 2017, a 26-year old Dutch man presented in 2020 with persisting cough and shortness of breath. Radiology showed cystic bronchiectasis with peri-bronchial consolidation in his right upper lobe. Laboratory studies in August 2021 showed an increased total IgE, specific IgE, eosinophilia and positive BAL culture for .
