Background: Gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) is used in individuals with gender identity dysphoria to align an individual's secondary sexual characteristics with their affirmed gender. We conducted a systematic review of the literature to explore the mechanisms regarding the effects of GAHT on the vasculature.

Methods: A literature search using PUBMED, Embase, Scopus and Lilacs was performed using search terms for GAHT, cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk and transgender.

Objectives: This large database analysis aims to describe the incidence, timeline, and risk factors for viral and fungal infections after chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy.

Methods: We queried a global research network database, TriNetX, for patients who received CAR T-cell therapy, who were identified and followed for the development of viral and fungal infections. Baseline demographic, oncologic history, laboratory data and medication histories were collected.

Objective: We sought to characterize the relationship between duration of exclusive breastfeeding and cardiovascular risk factors over the first 5-years postpartum.

Design/setting/patients: In this prospective cohort study, 328 women underwent serial cardiometabolic characterization (anthropometry, blood pressure, lipids, fasting glucose, adiponectin, C-reactive protein (CRP)) at 1-year, 3-years, and 5-years postpartum.

Unlabelled: ZFTA-RELA is the most recurrent genetic alteration seen in pediatric supratentorial ependymoma (EPN) and is sufficient to initiate tumors in mice. Despite ZFTA-RELA's potent oncogenic potential, gene fusions are observed exclusively in childhood EPN, with tumors located distinctly in the supratentorial region of the central nervous system (CNS). We hypothesized that specific chromatin modules accessible during brain development would render distinct cell lineage programs at direct risk of transformation by ZFTA-RELA.
