Invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) is a nationally notifiable illness in Canada due to its potential severity and transmissibility. Vaccination strategies differ by province/territory and are informed by changes in the antigenic characteristics of circulating strains. Though IMD statistics are tracked at a provincial/territorial level, there is a lack of published data characterizing trends in the epidemiology of this disease at a national level.

Objectives: To systematically identify, appraise, and summarise published evidence on individual socioeconomic and health-related factors associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination initiation and completion among females of paediatric age.
Study Design: A global systematic review with meta-analysis (PROSPERO: CRD42023445721).
Methods: We performed a literature search in December 2022 and supplemented the search on August 1, 2023.
Objective: Population-based administrative data are valuable for describing human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cases, and their health status and outcomes. Our objective was to validate algorithms consisting of physician visits, hospitalizations, and antiretroviral prescriptions against positive confirmatory HIV laboratory tests to identify individuals living with HIV.
Methods: The primary validation cohort consisted of adult Manitoban residents with at least 3 years of health coverage between 2007 and 2018.
Understanding variables that influence antibody responses to COVID-19 vaccination within a population can provide valuable information on future vaccination strategies. In this population-based study, we examined the antibody responses to COVID-19 vaccination in Manitoba using residual serum specimens collected between January 2021 and March 2022 (n = 20,365). Samples were tested for spike and nucleocapsid IgG against SARS-CoV-2 using clinically validated assays.
