Article Synopsis
  • * Findings showed that precipitates grow in size up to about 38 dpa, but beyond that point, their size begins to decrease. Post-irradiation analysis indicated that niobium (Nb) concentration in the matrix remained relatively stable between ∼0.8-1.5%.
  • * The research suggests that the observed dissolution of precipitates may be due to increased solubility of Nb in zirconium (Zr) caused

Copper thiourea complexes are an important material class for application as a precursor of copper sulfide nanocrystals with potential use in solar cells, optoelectronics, medicine, They represent a type of single source precursor, comprising both copper and sulfur in one chemical compound, whose tunable stoichiometry and morphology enable control of the quality and properties of the synthesized copper sulfide nanocrystals. Here, we present a template free electrochemical route to prepare nanowires of copper thiourea (tu) chloride hemihydrate ([Cu(tu)]Cl·½HO) by pulse deposition. We proposed the model of the growth of nanowires.

Nanomaterial based paints are in current demand in the area of surface protective coatings due to the significant advances made to improve their antibacterial and anticorrosion characteristics. In this work, we have developed magnetic graphene oxide (MGO) paint with the incorporation of cobalt ferrite (CF) and graphene oxide (GO) along with paint materials by using high energy ball milling (HEBM). Morphological, elemental and functional analysis of the MGO paint is studied with ESEM, AFM, Raman, FTIR spectroscopy.

Article Synopsis
  • The study examines the growth of molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) nanoribbons on silver (Ag) and gold (Au) nanostructures using an ultra-high vacuum (UHV) method under varying substrate temperatures.
  • A 2 nm Ag film was deposited on clean silicon substrates, while a 50 nm Au film was applied to a Si(100) substrate, followed by annealing to promote better growth conditions.
  • Scanning electron microscopy showed that faceted Au nanostructures supported the growth of MoO3 nanoribbons more effectively than the Ag microstructures did.

We report on the synthesis and UV-vis photodetection application of p-type MoO nanostructures (NSs) on Si substrate. β-MoO NSs have been synthesized from previously grown α-MoO structures/n-type Si via a hydrogenation process at 450 °C. After hydrogenation, the α-MoO structures were completely converted into β-MoO NSs without the presence of sub-oxidized phases of molybdenum oxide.
